The 2023 pro disc golf season is over, and we're excited to celebrate the FPO competitors who led their field in various categories on UDisc Live, which was used to track tournament scores and stats by every major disc golf tour in the world in 2023.
Note that to be eligible for these superlatives, a player had to have at least 160 holes tracked with UDisc Live during the 2023 season (including from two wraparound events played in 2022 as part of the 2023 Disc Golf Pro Tour season).
Enjoy exploring which FPO disc golfers rocked it in 2023:

9 | Deann Carey | 78.3% | 801 | 1,023 |
10 | Jill Norwick | 78.3% | 119 | 152 |
Ohn Scoggins' C1X putting percentage has been nearly identical for three seasons straight: 84% in 2021 (the FPO record in the UDisc Live era), 83.8% in 2022, and 83.9% in 2023. And each year, she's been FPO's top putter inside Circle 1. It's that sort of consistency that keeps her in contention year in and year out.
What's C1X?
C1X stands for Circle 1X.
Circle 1 (C1) is any point within 10 meters (about 33 feet) of the basket. At this range, a player has to maintain balance behind their lie (i.e., can't jump or step putt).
C1X refers to all putts between 10 and 3.3 meters (about 11 feet). We assume pros will make nearly 100% of putts within 3.3 meters, so C1X eXcludes these tap-ins, providing a clearer picture of putting skill.
Best Circle 2 Putters in Pro Disc Golf: FPO 2023
Rank | Name | C2 % | C2 Putts Made | C2 Putts Attempted |
1 | Ohn Scoggins | 21.2% | 73 | 344 |
2 | Silva Saarinen | 20.3% | 76 | 374 |
3 | Aria Castruita | 19.6% | 31 | 158 |
4 | Kristin Tattar | 19.5% | 77 | 394 |
5 | Riley Murray | 18.9% | 17 | 90 |
6 | Alexis Mandujano | 18.6% | 54 | 290 |
7 | Shelbi Dutton | 18.6% | 13 | 70 |
8 | Paige Pierce | 18.4% | 29 | 158 |
9 | Morgan Lynds | 18.2% | 20 | 110 |
10 | Catrina Allen | 17.9% | 82 | 457 |
Like in 2022, Scoggins tops both C1 and C2 putting in FPO. Her percentage here is not as constant as C1, however. In 2022, she made over 9% more of her long-range putts.
What's C2?
C2 stands for Circle 2, which is anything outside of 10 meters (about 33 feet) from the basket up to 20 meters (about 66 feet).
Longest Streaks With No Missed Circle 1 Putts in Pro Disc Golf: FPO 2023

5 | Ohn Scoggins | 63 | Mid America Open - Rd. 3 - Hole 13 | 2023 Ledgestone Open - Rd. 4 - Hole 3 |
The world's #1 FPO player, Kristin Tattar, put together the longest unbroken streak of C1X putts in 2023. But the end-of-year #2 and reigning queen of putting, Ohn Scoggins, found herself in this top five twice. What's more impressive? You decide.
These streaks could include makes from tap-in range, C1X, C2, and throw-ins (including aces). A miss from C2 didn't break the streak.

The Zoo Town Open in the mountains of Montana produced two of the most impressive power shots in MPO and three here in FPO. Big drops in elevation between tee and basket allow players to hit impressive distances, but what's truly jaw-dropping is when they get their discs to stick landings just a few feet from the target.
Much respect to Jessica Weese for throwing two of FPO's five most impressive shots of the year in just one round.
We identified these shots as the most impressive long-range throws of the year thanks to our Precise Power Index stat (see next section to learn more about PPI).

The precise power index (PPI) is a stat we released near the end of the 2022 season. The higher a player's average PPI, the more accurate they've proven to be when throwing distance shots. For FPO, that means shots of, roughly, at least 350 feet/107 meters.
You can get more info on PPI in our post introducing the stat.
Players needed to play at least 50 holes that qualified for a PPI rating to make the table above.

The four top players in this category also ranked among the world's top five FPO players generally at the end of the 2023 season. Contrasting that to MPO where only one player in the fairway hits top five made the end-of-season world rankings' top 10 shows a difference in what dominant disc golfers tend to play like in each division.
What's a Fairway Hit?
Here's how we define a fairway hit:
- Fairway Hits stats only cover players' first shots (i.e., tee shots) on par 3s and 4s.
- On a par 3, a player's drive has to come to rest within C2 to count as a fairway hit.
- On a par 4, the player's first shot needs to be in the fairway (e.g., not in the woods, OB, or in a hazard) or in C2.
- On a par 5, a player can earn 0, 1, or 2 fairway hits. If a player's first shot lands in the fairway, it counts as a fairway hit (if it miraculously landed within C2, that would also count). A player's second shot can land in the fairway or within C2 and count as a fairway hit.

What's an Eagle?
When a player completes a hole in two fewer strokes than par (hole-in-one on a par 3, two strokes on a par 4, or three on a par 5), they get an eagle.

Five-time FPO World Champion Paige Pierce ended her season early due to injury, but she still got two wins at Disc Golf Pro Tour Elite events before she did. One of those was at the OTB Open, where her season-leading streak of 10 birdies in a row during the second round put her on the track to victory.

Being #1 in birdie rate and #1 in lowest bogey rate for a season is bound to net you some wins, and that certainly proved true for Kristin Tattar, who won an incredible 63.2% of the traditional tournaments she played that were tracked with UDisc Live in 2023 (12 of 19).
The bogey totals include all sorts of bogeys – single, double, triple, and so on.
