@cobuhler
Checked out the area and it’s not close to opening
@mzdfly
Finally played this after 16 years, given that I had some influence on the design. Some fun peninsula holes, up & down, and decent length. It appears that a 500’+ hole was recently downsized, apparently because some beginners were complaining about a long par 3. Bad move. Let them learn how to throw, don’t downgrade the course to suit a lesser skill level.
@walketim
Important update: 17DEC23. The city told me this week after many communications that it's closed permanently because of new trails that make play unsafe. There are already 150 miles of trails, and now there will be zero disc golf courses if we don't rally to save her. They also reduced the size allocated for DG, and otherwise screwed over the disc golf as they claim there is no place to build a new one. Near as I c an tell they just did it without regard that this has been our course since 2003. It is not clear if they explored moving pins or exploring a new layout to avoid the foot traffic. They've promised a map in January. Write them. Call them. Tell them it's not Ok. Now please know the city council was 100% unaware the planners did this at the time contacted. They were shocked to learn it. We need help here. We need everyone to write. We need support from the leagues and clubs or thus one is gone forever.
@jacobean1
Is the course open yet does anyone know?
@joshycsm
This use to be a great and challenging course. We should reach out to the city to have them reinstall all the baskets now that they are done with the 3-year project they had been doing to restore the area.
@cjniemo
Great course, some long open shots and some technical ones. Make sure it is not closed thought, they were doin work on it or something recently.
@bleedg
It’s closed :(
@christiantbrink
Sticky mud but otherwise great condition
@bpwilson
Would love to see some new signs there and wish the course looped back. The shots are cool with some scary ones mixed in there
@tylerfranklin08
For what it is (course set into the design of a larger public park), it’s a great course. Difficult in spots and somewhat long!
@ghostcream
Course is fun but extremely muddy right now.
@bendavis7
Great big open throws for the front 9. Much more tactical back and forth over a stream for the back 9. Wonderful.
@cmsnyder
Great course withixture of long and short holes
@zmeintzer
Honestly, I love this course. It is great practice with the huge variety of distances and all the hazards of water and trees. Yes, you may lose a disc or two. But again, great practice and definitely not for beginners. The front 9 are a bit less hazardous than the back 9.
@bschatsiek
Wide open on pretty much h every hole. Grass was recently cut so it was pretty easy. REALLY muddy. Overall it was just fine.
@daeba93
Honestly great play, I dogged a star for mud (personal grunge) and the hazards on the back 9, I don't consider myself amateur per se but had to search for tons of discs so be warned
@quinnolson
Westmonster will gobble up your discs! Pack a few spares if you are ready for an exciting adventure!
@pseudoscapegoat
Why is this still posted to UDisc?
@halfmoonslayer
Great variety of holes, some unforgiving designed ones.. losing a disc is likely
@beaumega
Goodbye sweet home course :( </3 Edit: welcome back!
