@gregdiemler
Except for Hole #4 being vicious with briars and about unplayable, it was a decent course. Some real teepads would made it vloee to a 4 star course.
@jamesonboone
Briars need to be sprayed. Some work still needs to be done to cut down debris. Good course overall.
@bigmikemanning
The best disc golf course McDowell county parks and rec has to offer
@xypheria
Still going strong. Holes 1 and 2 still blocked but the rest of the course is open.
@boogiewoogiewoo
Not necessarily for the beginner, heavily wooded, tight fairways, true mountain disc golf, and can test your patience, but still always have a good time with tons of fun shots throwing over ponds and small creeks plus the test to get better
@patriotkg
Needs better upkeep. Will be better in the winter time, a couple of the dog leg holes need cleared out a bit better
@mikeplante7
Definitely not for beginners and someone seriously needs to trim the “fairway” on 4
@tanman101
Course is extremely rough and almost unplayable on certain holes. Hole four is unplayable. Pretty views, but tee areas are rough and signage is lacking. Multiple fairways in the woods need severe trimming
@randywilhoit
Not well maintained at all. Do not plan to play it again
@hufftruck
Not well kept, weeds shoulder high on hole 4.
@duncan262
They are doing a lot of work fix up tee boxes and course seems a little more open in the woods after the storm.
@danhutz147
Underrated challenging course Shot variety and lots of trees
@jgrose
This course has no map, there is zero upkeep. It is next to a machine shop and not attractive in any way.
@nerdenwad
clearly not a thought out or maintained course. only about 6 holes were playable. the rest were so deep in the woods you had to lay up every single shot. even the tee off shots. don’t waste your time coming here.
@caseybb3
3 stars only because the back 9 are ok, honestly most of my dislike is the front 4-5. It’s long, and it’s not wooded, it’s in the woods, like watch out for bears woods. Buggy, overall just wasn’t a great course to me, better tee pads, some clearing, especially on hole 4, would make this much better. To be fair, I stopped on my way to Charlotte for a quick casual round, which this course isn’t great for. Bring a machete.
@olivercburkett
Course has a lot of potential. A couple holes have unrealistic shot shapes off the tee but a generous par to make up for it. Natural tee pads are trash on some holes, and there is some fairway maintenance needed. But the course is actually quite pretty, and enjoyable.
@erthfrend
Better signage and some creek crossing you have to be pretty nimble .
