About the course

This is a family friendly course in the Blacksburg Municipal Park. Please play with caution and consideration of other park users. All fence lines and beyond are OB, except for the net fencing behind the basket on Hole #3, take casual relief. All concrete/asphalt surfaces and beyond OB. Do not enter private yards to retrieve discs. Missed mandos: one throw penalty then play next throw from the fairway side of the mando.

Fun park style course that does a great job if bringing technical aspects like trees, mandos and hazards into play. One pad and one basket per hole. Good for a quick round.

Holes are designed around other park features that puts you at risk of hitting people. One hole throws over a baseball field that was in active use. The hole before that skirts a spectator section with lots of trees that can kick your disc into them. Poor signage and flow. Maybe this course is good in conditions where the park is not in use, but that wasn't today. Nearly every hole has a hazard of hitting people.
