The other reviews surprise me. Yes the course is a hike, yes it's in the woods, yes it's difficult. All of that is in the description and it's name is RAVINE18! Disc down, hit your lines and enjoy the fruits of your labor. It's the only technical course in the area and provides a very diverse range of shot opportunities. If you're a beginner, i recommend staying on the Pine 9 course. If you're more advanced but bad, playing here is pizza'ing when you should French fry. Could definitely use tee signs but I heard they're on the way. I found markers on all the baskets though so you should be able to find your way pretty easily. 5/5 and can't wait to play it as it gets beat in!
@bigkurls
Great course - good use of the surrounding area - definitely tough - stay in the fairway if you can Will be much nicer with more play - would be nice to see some of the areas 100' and in from basket opened up as some of the approach areas are as wooded as the rough. Definitely will be feeling it later after the hike but worth the trek
@zachclark388
Great Course! Hole 16 could use walking path weedwacked to make walking a little easier.
@joew575
Course has potential but front 9 needs some trees removed to open up the fairway lines a little more. Basically throwing through the woods. Back 9 opens up and has a lot of nice shots.
@dhoover2192
This is NOT a beginner course 😂 this is a well designed course meant to challenge players to make smart throws and punishes those that play risky. 100/10 would recommend and will be back
@zackaneckstein
Bad design on many holes. Some holes are really great though such as 10, 11, and 15. The rest of the holes could desperately use a re-design
@fupachalupah
Throwing through thick woods isn't good course design. If someone was playing and didn't have Udisc to guide them to the next basket, I don't know how they'd ever find some of the teepads. 1/10
@sholly
Gets its name honestly, throwing over ravines on most holes where some are so steep its almost dangerous. Fairways are almost non existent on about half of them and the fairways that are apparent are covered in thorns and poison ivy. Glad i checked it out but would beed some decent TLC to wanna make the trek again.
@dtbayles
This is a hike! According to my Apple Watch we did about 5 miles with 42 flights of stairs climbed. It was a ton of fun with some really different holes compared to flat courses. Bring lots of water!
@jgeiman
Fantastic woods course. Great use of elevation. You could use a spotter on some of the holes. Rough isn’t too bad on most holes. But you would benefit from staying on the fairway. This course will break in real nice.
@joecrow2418
Course is very nice. Will get better with more play and trails broken. I had a hard time finding baskets off a tees.
@zigphill
Sooo many steep hills. Hole 14 map is deceiving. Not a dog leg. More of a really long curve.
@spangb
Interesting holes but a massive hike between holes. Physically demanding be ready for a fun workout.
@windshreddg
This course is rightfully one of the most challenging endurance courses in PA. The scenery going to #8 has a breathtaking view that it’s worth to take a break. The course is friendlier towards RHFH players. The drive is worth it for a day trip with your friends. Recommend singles from the white tees and doubles from the blue tees to make your experience fun and challenging. Never forget to SHRED THE WIND!
@alytle711
Great course but you can tell it’s very raw on some holes. So difficult lines and for sure a work out; up and down and up and down. Very fun course to play tho
@nathanalleman
Much respect for what it takes to cut a woods course out of the wilderness, especially with hills this steep! That said, this course is still raw, with some good fairways and lines, and other places where fair lines still need work. The whites are short enough to be scorable but the blues are work, and have some barely throwable lines. Also, I would not call this course cart friendly. Still, worth playing if you know what you're getting into!
@padbaney
Fun layout. NOT CART FRIENDLY. Mostly technical with few bomb shots.
@crazydmom
I love climbing don’t get me wrong..but this course needs steps in places or ropes to help you up and down. Also EVERY tee shot is “let’s get eight through these 2 trees” to get started. Not a fun experience.
@mhess37
Bring your hiking poles as the terrain is rough and there are no steps nor rope hand rails to aid going up and down the rocky and slippy terrain. Over time it will be a great course but still very rough.
@sobby09
Played for the open tournament rained all morning. Was nice for a new coarse. A little too many trees with small windows. Could use some improvement before trees are full.
