About the course

The Ravine 18 was established throughout 2022 and officially opened in the spring of 2023 in a partnership between the US Army Corps of Engineers, Raystown Area Discgolf, Friends of Raystown Lake, Huntingdon County Visitors Bureau, Standing Stone Disc Golf Club, and Lets Go Throw. As the name suggests this course plays through a lot of elevation change from ridges to ravines (bring your water and be ready for a hike). With the exception of holes 15 and 18 (one tee pad) all holes have 2, 6'x12' concrete tee pads which creates a blue (advanced) and white (intermediate) layout. To get to hole 1 (and 10) cross the road you drove in on using one of the 2 crosswalks. The crosswalk closest to the North parking lot of the visitor center leads you through a split rail fence to the Ravine 18 kiosk which sits about 30 feet off of the road. Hole 10 is the tee pad directly to the right of the kiosk. To get to hole 1, go down the gravel path to the left of the kiosk and through the open gate that leads to the skills park "viewing platform". If you find any maintenance issues or you would like to volunteer to improve the course contact "Raystown Area Discgolf" on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/groups/650776116484328.

Great course - good use of the surrounding area - definitely tough - stay in the fairway if you can Will be much nicer with more play - would be nice to see some of the areas 100' and in from basket opened up as some of the approach areas are as wooded as the rough. Definitely will be feeling it later after the hike but worth the trek
