Sadly, my desire to play one more OG classic course on a weeklong business trip ended in disappointment. Holes 1-8 are a little overgrown but had fun shots. Holes 9 and 10 are definitely unsafe throwing across walking paths. Holes 11-18 are an affront to good course design. Unsafe for walking let alone retrieving an errant throw. Holes 16-18 are unplayable, unpleasant to the eye, and horrible to traverse. Really unsafe throwing through the stream and the potential for negative environmental impact is not negligible. Play holes 1-10 or don’t play at all. The designer of holes 11-18 should be ashamed.
@kniceley
Course used to be better but the back nine redesign is terrible. So many other good courses in the area why bother
@akkerr7
Poorly maintained and just dangerous is some places
@lukeawilliams
Honestly a shame that this place was left to crumble. It’s my first time being here and I could tell the back nine used to be beautiful, but just wasn’t taken care of. Honestly should pull the back nine baskets because they are still very nice
@rotijona
Unless they actually work on it then don’t waste your time. Lots of excellent courses in the area.
@drtreechopper
If you’re from out of town, you might want to bring a local. I got lost even with UDisc. There aren’t any arrows or wayfinding. I would never play here alone again, just my personal opinion. It was fun, pretty overgrown in some areas but fun shots overall.
@vadashva
This course is such a gem, and it drives me crazy to see bad reviews on it. Everything is up kept as good as it possibly can be. Here's holes that are in the middle of the woods, so I don't know how anyone expects a lawn mower or something and get out there. There's some beautiful shots, whole 17 is completely usable, unlike the last reviewer. I love this course so much and wish it was a little closer to me. Only thing I would like to see is the UDisc and Course Sign distances to match.
@nate9254
Beautiful views, challenging shots and only a 39% change of falling towards a major injury. Please be sure you're in your top physical condition and wearing hiking boots before playing the back 7.
@ryanwalker
Holes 12-18 are still pretty swampy. The new pin positions for the back 6 don’t make sense. Still needs a lot of work.
@creechout
11 needs a mando to keep players from the big hyzer over the ymca parking lot. 13 needs a rope or something to help players get up the hill opposite the stairs. 16 needs a fallen tree cut down and a clear path to the bucket that doesn’t interfere with players on 12/13. 17 needs a path that doesn’t cross its own fairway to get to 18 tee pad.
@hughesr422
Course needs to be taken care of especially back 9. Hole 18 is becoming more dangerous to walk as creek has eroded and with the leaves
@genjiro
A little more signage to direct you from the previous basket to the next pad would be great and then maybe signs to show you where you’re throwing would be helpful. Other than that the course is great, very scenic on the back nine and I would definitely come back to play again.
@nkdaigle
Course is not what it used to be. The back 9 after the creek project has been cast to the wayside. The front 9 is still good and the new baskets are nice but it doesn’t make up for the back 9.
@rabtron3000
Great course, great exercise. The lines are tight and mostly wooded. Front 9 is fun, but unforgiving. Back 9 is my favorite of any course. No crazy distance, just fun technical lines with elevation change. In the fall, it's incredibly picturesque (hole 18 in particular). Pratt has water and restrooms. Only change I'd like to see is improved parking. The gravel lot can't keep up with the popularity of the park, and sometimes overflows onto hole 1. Trails and teepads are well-maintained.
@keysopensdoors
Lots of elevation but such a nice course and very nostalgic for me. Stableford does a great job at keeping it up. Not in love with the new holes but I understand exceptions had to be made with the restoration.
