@tmfk85
Didn't get to finish last 5 holes got dark and lost a disc on 13. But what I did play it was great
@kirkwooldridge
Not well marked but a good course. Keep your udisc handy. No tee signs and only a few boxes.
@halfbakked
It’s a real shame, cause it could be a great course. I couldn’t figure out even with UDisc wear some of the holes were? Either they moved them or pulled them. I’m not sure. I’m gonna give it a 4 because I thought it had great variation and great shot design. Someone put a little work into it and it could be great.
@koalabaritone
Zero signage, god awful tee boxes, and course was a bit overgrown... but overall still a fun play! Good use of elevation, and nice mixture of open vs wooded holes. Worth playing if you're driving through, wouldn't go out of my way to come back though.
@joeluhlmeyer
I really want to rate this higher and already feel conflicted giving it a 3.5. Don't get me wrong, this place offers a great round of golf that keeps you throwing many different types of shot off the tee and will challenge your accuracy and shot shaping. However, it is EXTREMELY barebones golf. No signs, gravel pads, pretty overgrown in places and just generally does not feel like the resources and time have been devoted to making it a great course. There are also some issues with crisscrossing fairways that present a safety hazard if there were people playing both holes (13 plays through 5s fairway, 14 plays over 15s fairway and tee). Overall I really enjoyed this course and I'm really glad I know it's here now as someone who passes through the area for work regularly. I've always thought of the stretch between Ames and Albert Lea to have essentially no decent courses, but this place proved me wrong. I really hope they can someday get the resources to flesh this out and give it real pads and a slight redesign because the place has great potential.
@jonnyt123
Wow! I did not expect this course to be this good! Starting at hole 1 with no real teepad or signage was a bad first impression. The course starts okay, but the middle is absolutely fantastic!!! Holes 5-13 are the best of the bunch; some really great course design. Hole 9 is a great technical par 4 and 11s tunnel is sweet! Even hole 5 is a nice, tighter hyzer shot. The things holding it back are the lack of tee signs/maps and the gravel teepads. I don’t mind the lack of teepads are much - the gravel works fine enough - but no tee signs/maps makes it very tough to know the holes beforehand. While I loved hole 9, it was super tough to know the hole without basically walking the whole thing beforehand. Some nitpicky things are 9 and 10s UDisc layout being wrong, 1s basket being too close to 14s teepad, and 14s basket being too close to 15s teepad. I really appreciate the signage from hole to hole, the trash bins, and the rakes for moving leaves off the pads. I would recommend if you’re driving through, it is a good, and very underrated course.
@billthecrusher
First time glow round was UDisc map mandatory. This place has some tough holes. I did 1st time glow round, place has distance, elevation & trees. I need to come back when there are leaves 😀
@judodisc77
Course was very confusing for an out of towner with a map on hole 1 which sent us completely out of our way, had to guess which tees were for which holes. If the map isn't up to date it's really not difficult to just take it down
@vaultman32
Course needs work. Over half the holes are blind shots, loose gravel tee pads, and some shots just aren’t fun.
@yetistomp
This course was a treat…the course ands woods feel loved.
@driscoll
If there were tee pads I would’ve given this a full 5 stars
@travelingatom
Toward the end a few holes cross back over the front 9, and can cause issues if busy. Would love a watering hole to fill up would be great, but not needed. Hole tee signs would be nice as well.
@keckles
Would’ve gone 4 if a couple holes didn’t overlap, 4.5 with real tees. Overall it was pretty fun, I would go back.
@cydisc11895
A parcel of land with a lot of potential and a few quality holes already. Good shot variety and balance. The course would benefit from hard surface tees and tee signs. Some crossing fairways create safety issues.
@unclepennybags
Concrete tee pads would really transform this course from OK to really nice!
@resultedbeast99
Mushiest course in the area. Super fun when the ground is dry. Wish it was all gravel tee pads
@harleja29
Concrete tee pads would make a huge difference
