About the course

This 9-hole disc golf course was made possible through a partnership with the Madison County Historical Society and Winterset Disc Golf Club, with funding from the Greater Madison County Community Foundation and Winterset RAGBRAI Committee. We're grateful to our partners for their support, generosity, and patience throughout the project.

A really nice 9-hole course for a small community! Nice variety of shots: a few uphill, some blind shots, a few downhills, and some tight squeezes. Nothing too short for gimmie birdies but nothing too long for intermediate players. I wouldn’t recommend for those just starting out… there’s a lot of grass and dense trees (especially #2-5) to lose discs in. Shouldn’t be a problem for most experienced players though!

Blind throws in woods and over tall grasses. Probably better later in fall through early spring. Intermediate or better players.
