I was on tournament staff for 2004 Worlds and remember the temp course. It's a decent use of the land available. Could use tee signs.

Park style course with some D. Wish I'd have brought a couple fairways and a driver.

Nicely maintained, but not a lot of variety.

Great open style course. Turf teepads are really nice and O.B. is fun (paths/water/long grass) Wind makes it 10x better. Could use tee signs though

Super fun and quick 9 hole. Love the turf teepads. Great course to warm up on, or practice playing in the wind. Would love to see some teesigns added, otherwise no complaints.

Fun 9 by the lake. Mostly open with shorter ones at the end. Love the turf tees and baskets nice (no signs I saw).

Good quick 9 holes. Not too challenging but still fun and worth a visit.

Fun little layout. Once the trees start to fill in this will be a great 9 hole! Very susceptible to wind currently but still a good variety.

Nice warm up/quick round course. Mostly open but each hole has at least one obstacle. Located on DMACC campus with a walking path bordering the course.

Course is fine, a decent 9 hole course that makes the best of a fairly wide open field. A few of the holes bring trees into play. The tunnel shot hole and the double Mando hole are the most interesting. Intermediate to Higher level players will feel a bit underwhelmed.

Wonderful use of land. Some creative shot lines. Wide open, yet tight in areas. Great beginner course for beginners, yet the seasoned pro will appreciate the thought put into this course. A WELCOMED addition to Ankeny and makes skipping Heritage a no-brainer. We'll done here, 515 community.

I know par 2 isn't an option, but this 9 basket course probably should be par 23.

Family friendly/ beginner friendly short course. Some fun shots and nice views with no highly technical shots required to have fun.

This is a great nine hole course with distance shots, touch shots, tunnel, shots, and even some water to contend with on the last hole. Such a great addition to Ankeny!

Lakeside DGC is my favorite 9 hole in the Des Moines metro now! The 2 elevated baskets keep it interesting and there’s even a 500 ft shot where you can really let your distance driver rip. At this time there aren’t signs, but I’m sure there will be soon, in the meantime the course layout on u disc is perfect and the course is very easy to navigate. Parking will never be an issue here as DMACC has a ton of parking. This place will compete with Ewing park for best scenery on a DGC in Des Moines. Thank you Seth Evans for bringing a new, fun course to Ankeny! Update (3/12/2025): BRING BACK THE ELEVATED BASKETS PLEASE!

Love the use of hole notes. Hole 9's tee pad will probably lead to awkward moments with fishermen, I'm hopeful it doesn't get trashy either. All in all wonderful design and great use of land.

Great use of space to create semi-wooded holes, open shots and tight gaps all on the same section of relatively open land. Great tee pads and baskets; easily navigable even without signs. Fun course! Only thing I'd change at this moment is to put a cheap broom at each tee pad and install signs.

If you're expecting to play the course that hosted the final 9 from the 2004 world championships, you're going to be very disappointed. Most of the holes are on the shorter side with very little, if anything, in the way. It's a decent course to play with mids and putters on a calm day, but if it's windy, it's going to be WINDY. I would expect this course to always be very well maintained, and there are only a couple spots you could ever have a chance of losing a disc.
