With the snow on the ground it was easy to follow the several sets of footprints from hole to hole. This was good since it was my first look at this course. Lots of trees but well placed drives got around most of them.

HPDG is a nice opportunity for a change of pace from the usual course. It offers a Green (beginner friendly) and Gold (challenging) layouts. The fall season has enormous amount of leaves down so mark your throws well. The Green layout is fun for the novice to fine tune game, build confidence, and take several Ace runs. This course these a little TLC as some signs are falling over and the cards are laminates. But signage is accurate. Watch for Green and Gold stakes marking the directions. Some holes diverge so the clay outs vary a little. Very little amenities; NO DOGS allowed, NOT cart friendly, no restrooms.
