Amazing course, not 100% finished yet, but what they have is already great and you can see where it is going

Can’t wait to come back, they’re doing amazing work out here to make this one of the best courses in central Iowa. Looking forward to seeing the finished product; a lot unique personal touches are being added

This course is coming along great. Now with 20 amazing holes and plan on completing tee signs/pads by end of summer. Once that happens no doubt it’s a top course in the area. Private courses are a lot of work don’t know how they do it. Well worth a trip for an event

I don’t give out 5 stars but the work they’re currently putting into the course earned it. They have a vision for growth, options for beginners to pro and an obvious passion. 🔥❤️🥏

This course is still in its infancy, the amount of work and attention to detail is truly astounding, I am going to make this course a regular stop. I love the pin placements and green designs. The only negative feedback I have and is an easy fix, some numbers on the baskets would make it easier to know you are going to be playing the right baskets.

We played wildcat bluff shorts for the first time on Friday July 4th (iowa #1 rated course) and played happy acres on Sunday July 7th for the first time. Nothing against wildcat it's a great course and longs are definitely championship level. But happy acres is a better course. The hole designs are better. The extra obstacles added to the course are better. Our course guides were amazing hosts. Although not needed to navigate the course way finding was easy, it was obvious where the next hole tee is. Tee pads are great. A couple were a little smaller than I would like but that also adds to the challenge on short holes. Most were perfect. Tee signs were accurate multiple island holes with fair drop zones for missed islands and mandos. I took so many pictures. We didn't play a hole I didn't like. Tour pros would smash here like anywhere else but for the rest of us this is iowa number one course in Iowa in my opinion. I can't wait to play a sanctioned tournament here. For reference I shot +6 at wildcat shorts and +4 at happy acres. I didn't putt great either day I missed the same number of c1 putts at both courses. Very comparable challenge.

Clearly a lot of love, time, and energy was put into this course and the bones of this course make it a must play. Kudos to the team that have dumped their heart and soul into this course. You can feel the love in the attention to detail in the park benches, the decorative pieces throughout the course, and the beautifully built obstacles. This course has its own personality and character to match the technicality that it requires. However, like with all new courses it’s got some cleanup that still needs done on some fairways to make them less poke and hope and more fair. Be sure to read the signs since the course has a ton of OB and hazard. In my opinion the course doesn’t need most of the hazard. There is already enough natural OB that the hazard/OB in some places seems distracting for people playing the course for the first time. All in all, I loved playing the course and would to come back if invited.

This course is already awesome with many improvements to come. Rich was a great tour guide, showing us where to throw and highlighting the course history.

Great use of the property! Good mix of open and wooded holes. I think it leans towards the easier side based on course par and distance of the holes. Would like to see an arrow or indicator pointing towards the next tee. There’s benches and alternate pin locations on almost every hole. I would definitely visit again!

Third time coming here and these owners are passionate! Every hole has character with a wide variety of shot shapes and difficulty. Easily slotted into one of my top Iowa courses!

Went out and played for the first time yesterday. The potential here is unreal. Idk if the owner of the course is aware of the gem he has here but it’s crazy. Throw in some cement tee pads, tee signs, and some direction signs pointing you in direction of next hole and you’ve got one of the top courses in iowa here. If the work is put in and the money is invested to make the course whole i’d put this course top 3 in iowa easily.

Fun shot shapes with a mix of shorts and longer holes. The few people that do work on it have done a great job. It’ll quickly become of the top courses in Iowa if the course is well maintained. With a good mix of elevation, right and open fairways, and hole styles and ideas, it’s definitely worth the trip.

Beautiful scenery. Fun shaped shots. A couple bombers. Open holes, water hazards, wooded tight gaps, it’s got it all.

Considering no pads or signs, this is an excellent course and will be on par with the best in Iowa once those two elements are in place. Good mix of open and wooded holes with interesting elevation in play.

Only giving this 4 stars right now as it isn’t completely finished yet. The course needs tee pads, a few signs indicating where the next hole is, and we didn’t find holes 15-18. However the courser is very well layer out and fun. Half through the woods with some challenging alleys and mandatories, the other half out in the open. I’d say moderately hilly overall…hilly for Iowa. Perhaps if you have a big arm some of the holes will seem short, but there should be enough challenge in the woods.
