I’m no expert on courses, or throwing plastic at baskets, but it does feel like Coyote Cut manages to do something rare. Bogeys feel like pars, pars feel like birdies, and birdies feel transcendent, but the lasting impression for me is a fascination for what could be if I strung together my better stuff. CC has Final Boss energy: it is the kind of course that humbles, infuriates, gives unrivaled flashes of brilliance, humbles again, and then you’re spit out—back at your car—feeling like it was all entirely deserved and you can’t stop thinking about what could be…next time. Bring plenty of hydration and snacks. North Carolina’s Mt. Olympus awaits.

Course owner Ari here rating my own course. Tee areas will keep the improving with time. Mostly just me working out here. There are a few trees that are under debate for fairness. The course was designed for par being close to 1000 rated. It’s meant to be fair but extremely challenging. so just be aware the battle out here is real. I’m considering shorter tee areas but I’m focused on the longs first. We currently are open 1 day a month and tournaments. So come be a champion or die trying
