About the course

Moderately hilly Heavily wooded This is a par 65 championship course in a beautiful park. The first John Houck, Houck Design course located near Pittsboro, North Carolina features seven par 4's and two par 5's, including the signature #17 next to the park's signature rock outcroppings. Generally, there are wider fairways with well-defined landing areas and multiple options off the tee as compared to many other wooded courses. Red tees are designed for beginners and recreational players; blue tees are generally for intermediate, advanced, and pro players. It’s a great course; varied with possible aces AND long, lucky if you get a 5 holes. Lots of fun.

110% recommend playing all star layout. The blue tees that aren’t all star don’t have lines and/or you are throwing blind to a gap. A lot of holes have “two fairways” according to the tee signs but there is most definitely only one fairway so choose wisely. Great course to play if you are driving through. Not a good course to play if you are driving out of your way.
