Course was better before the update not worth playing bad design and layout skip it and play somewhere else.
@kedreey
Lots of open shots. Great practice for the wind!
@masteryesac
Beware baseball tournaments A little hard to navigate needs arrows pointing to next tee as you can sometimes see multiple different tee signs
@irbium1
Great course. Enough trees to make it harder. Good tee pads and baskets. Fun.
@n8barton
50/50 on this course. Played over 400 dg courses. I don't like holes that you tee off, walk back to the tee to play the next hole, or holes that are 400 ft plus walk to the tee, then another 400ft walk back to a next tee. Flow= -1 star. Holes are ok, bit repetitive on shorts, bit better on longs. Couple walks makes holes 16 and 18 worth skipping. Ok for a fun round, could have better flow and tons of park space to improve/use.
@tgrady18
This is a solid course, not sure why it has such poor reviews. The lines are either basic or a bit wonky and the tee pads weren’t brushed enough when poured so would be slippery in poor conditions. Multiple tees/pins adds some variety and it’s a great spot to practice. Not a destination but worth a stop if it’s convenient or not too far out of the way.
@elib34r
4 star holes, 2 star layout. You cross lots of fairways to get to tees and there are a lot of long walks to get to the next hole. It's like they made the best 18 holes they could and then just connected them into a course.
@nathanhoyle
Typical for the NW Ohio area - complaints! The loudest complainers are the ones who thought throwing 18 straight hyzers on the old layout was fun. The new layout is fine, the space provided by the park has never been enough to offer a championship level layout, using the space provided this layout gives you a fun park style disc golf experience. Updated baskets, large tees (although, sometimes a little slippery if wet but not too bad) & minimal brush meets the expectations of intermediate and new disc golfers alike. Throw in a little bit of wind provided by the neighboring fields and you have all the challenge you may need.
@sirdank
Not a bad course, but it has a pretty wonky layout
@nickemerine
Newly designed course with good shot variety. Some of the new tee pads are a bit slick, so use caution. Overall a fun course!
@waggonab
This is only getting three stars because of the quality baskets and tees. This park is an example of a wasted opportunity. There is a pretty good sized wooded section that was not utilized whatsoever. I can’t blame the designer because I don’t know if it was their fault or if the parks just wouldn’t let them use it. Using the woods would have eliminated some of the additional walking to holes that are out in the middle of nowhere as well as added some more variety to the course design. This course could be a four or five rated course if they had used the property properly.
@bartkowalewski
A shorter park style course. Looks like they had limited land to work with. Many similar shot types, with some holes having funky lines. Meh, could have been better.
@aurkarm
Open park course that makes surprisingly good use of the trees as well as various landscaping to create various shots and other challenges. Tee pads are new and great. Signage at the tees is good, but getting to the next hole is tricky sometimes. Restrooms and other park amenities are right there. Overall, a fun and interesting course.
@grayant
Not sure why people hate this course as much as they do. It’s pretty standard disc golf, but still has just enough challenge to make it a little interesting. Certainly not deserving of 1-2 star ratings. Hole 16 is a completely useless hole, however. I recommend skipping the walk and just playing 17. Nothing ground breaking here but still a decent round of DG.
@mylesgraber
Lot of negative reviews, but those are almost certainly from people who are too nostalgic over the old layout. And I probably played the old layout 1,000 times. Carter Park then: a good course to learn on that you could breeze through in 45-60 minutes. Carter Park now: a good course to learn on that now takes slightly longer to breeze through, about 60-75 minutes. New holes 1, 5 (old 17), 7, 9, 10, and 13 (old 5) are faves. Besides some low ceiling shots, the course still plays just like it used to! Hole 16 can be hard to find if you don't have uDisc, but you can also skip it and play hole 1 again to the other basket. Utilize the baseball layout too if the course is overrun with baseball players and families!
@dtscherne29
Solid course, it’s mostly 250ft high hyzers but there’s some tighter gaps
@beardedtex
Solid park style course, anyone who says it's terrible and to not play just ignore them they are just mad the 300 ft par 5s got removed and they can't shoot 16 under....it's a very beginner friendly park style it's open and windy most of the time.
