4 of these stars are because it's so iconic. Every hole is a challenge and is unique. The other half star is because it's a super beautiful property.
@zjross5
Need to update their events happening. Showed up yesterday and every college in the country was there to practice for Nattys. Nattys and the Sunday tournament isn’t on the events section on Udisc
@megawatt
It was a dream playing here! Thank you Winthrop for having this world class course!!!
@carlwbouman
One of my favorites!
@phillipe
Winthrop University has a beautiful campus with a dated disc golf course. History and prestige lend excitement to anyone who steps foot on the first tee of the Arena layout. We loved using our imagination to envision the course during championship condition. Unfortunately due to the disjointed layout we found it hardly playable. Paired with grass that hadn’t touched in several weeks, any magic that the property boasted quickly began to fade. The course in its true form provides the pageantry that die hard disc golfers long for. Given another opportunity to play then would warrant an update to this review. Overall the course is subpar ~46 weeks out of the year.
@tfuhrmann
Baskets missing. No tee signs. Very far between holes. Not enjoyable.
@smorr34
Nice views and a variety of shots, but overall underwhelming for a course that once hosted the world championships.
@benstrickland
The udisc layout and what is actually out there are *not the same*. I guess this is somewhat from expectations of playing a championship level course, but this course is in basic disrepair. Not an enjoyable time. Lots of walking and getting lost.
@jtheriault32
No basket in the ground on 13.. course is sweet though
@jasonmccoy
First time here. Thank Udisc for the guidance because there is no signage.
@jthrift
The nostalgia alone is 5 stars.
@reilly
Incredible course that is really well maintained. I think I found and OB or hazard on almost every single hole but I still had a great time 😅 I think you might get lost without UDisc as there was pretty much no signage at all.
@bigbaddawson
The Lakefront course is a fun, short, semi-wooded course featuring primarily straight fairways that require you to avoid a tree and/or keep it out of the brush.
@jwfarris
USDGC Course after the tournament. Beautiful and humbling
@mstrjollo
Met all of my expectations and more. You really can’t tell how fast 18’s green is or how little space 17 allows for a perfect tee shot. So pleased I went and very proud of my +4.
@toddbryant
Quick pitch and putt
@drfrisb
The Goat the first week of October. Home of USDGC. This is an absolute must event and course for every disc golfer.
@durant
They fixed the goofy stuff but its still boring.
@trilogyfour
5* rating based on the ropes/o.b. course set up. Its still fantastic without the ropes. Update* the new mowing, rocks, lack of mozzarella sticks, and other updates have made the course even better! Losing the 888 hole for the new garbage isn't great.
@discgolfcraig
Lakefront layout is not the USDGC layout. That is the Gold layout. Lakefront is a fun, basic course playing around the water. Don’t get the two confused or you’ll be sorely disappointed.
