In theory, it should be awesome. Walkable to town/bike path, on an island, near the River, plenty of holes. In practice I was underwhelmed. Many tee shots were blind, lots of similar shots, no signs on tee pads. I do like the large cement pads and DGA baskets, and the alternate holes utilizing the highway underpass and train trestle, but I’m afraid the rest was frustrating at worst and forgettable at best. There’s potential with the property, but as a visitor I was left wanting more.

Loved the course, fun layout, and good mix of holes, shots, lengths, etc. My only issue was on Hole 9. I made the mistake of not ensuring the hole was clear before I threw. After throwing what looked to be a perfect shot, the player in front of me came out from behind a tree. It was too late to warn him, so by the time I yelled fore, the disc had skipped up right to him (coming to rest about 5 feet behind him). This is my fault, I fully am aware of this! I apologized and said I didn’t see him until it was too late. After he yelled at me, he picked up my disc and threw it as hard as he could into the rough. Other than that little man energy, I had a great time!

Great course, a little hard to follow and zigzags a little bit, but the shot variety is awesome. Sounds and arrows on the baskets would help drastically

The is a beautiful fun course! We skipped it one time when passing through Grand Junction because I was afraid of losing disc in the river, but decided to stop and play this time, and we are glad we did. Unless you make some crazy shots, the river is really not a factor. (I did land in the small river once because I was stupid and tried a tomahawk shot over a tall bush on a short shot that missed and rolled way too far!) Homeless are still around at the start which made us concerned for leaving our car, but nothing happened, and we didn't see any actually on the course. No signage at all, but u disc was fairly accurate to find the tees and baskets. Nice fairly new cement tee pads, and most of the tee areas are well kept.

They are in the midst of updating the course, and are up to about hole 7 with changes and improvements, so uDisc may not be accurate on some holes. The changes so far are excellent upgrades.

Weeds aren’t high but still a pain to walk the course. Multiple holes had blind baskets that a flag would solve. Multiple holes were you are seeing several baskets but unclear which one is yours. Course is used by more families riding bikes and dog walkers.

There are some really cool holes on this course, but there are also a lot of bums and around the bridges is pretty sketchy (used needles and the like). Overall, a really fun play if you don’t mind the bums and drugs.

This was a cool course and I liked it, but man was it hard to find your way through. The teepeads sre correct on UDisc but the baskets could be wildly different/missing entirely. So having a local guide you through it for your first play would probably be advisable. I still enjoyed it!

Great course packed with lots of quality disc golf, good variety. Nice views of the surrounding ridges and the Colorado River. Nice tees and baskets, could really use new signs. Bring bug spray and watch your shots!

Awesome course. Lots of shot variety. OB comes into play on many holes. Bring a disc or 2 you don’t mind losing. A few water holes. Nice mix of distances. Good mix of forehand/backhand shot shapes. Dry & rugged landscape. Solid views of Grand Junction. Worth a visit if you’re in the area or looking for something new to play.

Good use of otherwise unused land. Not family friendly. Plus1/ half a star for an under the bridge tunnel shot. Minus one full star for feeling like I might get mugged by the inhabitants of the hobo encampments.

Played the new 24 hole course. Number 5A is a pretty cool “double, double mando” that is a signature hole. Nice trees for shade relief and generally good basket placement.

Nice short course. You need Udisc to find the t-pads. Udisc was not updated to the correct basket placement.

The course has been way improved recently! The local club has been making changes that have increased the difficulty and variety of shots throughout the course. It was a great course before, now it's really an elite disc golf location.
