Great course. It’s brand new and people seemed surprised seeing me throwing discs in the area. Feels wide open but there are some tricky and well guarded baskets. Lots of elevation changes and when windy get harder. Easy to follow on UDisc. Since it shares the layout with the golf course, when golfers are playing common sense has to used. Some transitions between hole are a bit long. Will come back next time I’m in the area.

Valle Escondido is a technical, high-risk course that demands precision. Most tee shots force you to clear water or navigate tight jungle-lined fairways. Mistakes are punished—expect to lose a disc or two if you’re off your line. Scenery is a major highlight. Dense jungle, elevated tees, and water features make for a visually stunning round. The course is well-designed with good signage and a smart mix of hole lengths and shapes. Pros: Challenging tee shots with water and jungle hazards Scenic layout with great natural views Well-maintained and clearly marked Cons: Not beginner-friendly Easy to lose discs Humid and physically demanding Verdict: A tough but rewarding course for experienced players who enjoy risk-reward golf in a beautiful setting

I travelled for a full day to play this course after finding it on Udisc. Showing up the baskets are all there, but the guy at the shop said the course isn't ready yet. After showing him the course and the info on Udisc he said I can play if I pay the ball golf fee of USD41 which is just ridiculous. I told him the world class courses don't even charge this per round and he laughed in my face. Judging from a distance, the course is overlaying with the ball golf course making it very well kept, but all the shots are open. I'd say it's a nice course, but definitely not the world class course as it says in the description. Edit: The course status has been changed to 'unavailble for play; under construction' and the course owner contacted me to offer their appologies for the mixup.

Valle Escondido is a world class course located in mountain town of Boquete, Panama. Hole 1 tee pad forces your gaze across 3 ponds with lush landscaping. Spectacular views in all directions as you play in a cloud forest environment. Beautiful well landscaped golf course, with steady changes in elevation, surrounded by tropical jungle fauna, divided by a fast moving river, and with 2 seasonal waterfalls as a backdrop on Holes 6 and 7. No matter your skill level, this course will challenge all those who come. For the beginner, take your time, mind the wind and elevation changes and you will improve your game to play anywhere in the world. For the well seasoned player , bring your "A" game with all the throws in your bag and you will be rewarded, from long sweeping hyzers for approach shots, to anhyzers to beat tight corners, to long rollers on manicured fairways. And doing it all in a lush jungle environment with the sounds of the river always in the background. Take your time teeing off on Holes 8 and 9 and just take in the views. The tranquility here will drop you into a "zen" state of mind. Focus on your throw , and no matter the result, know that you are playing next to nature on a beautiful course and that is the true reward.
