@welshynz
Plain but simple. Good for beginners. Beware the construction yard interrupting 9th hole. Suggest/reminder to name and number on disc for later retrieval.
@gr8nis
Hole 1 near uni bar silly place to have it. Should be moved to fields where other holes are
@haydnnz
Pro’s: Great to see a new course, especially in a University. Great tees, Multiple basket local actions etc CONS: Hole 1 is an accident waiting to happen. Needs addressing immediately. Close to car park and way too close to walking path and road. Holes 2 & 3 straddle a fairly busy route for students which brings the public into the firing line. Safety signage is paramount and urgent before traffic increases. Another example of why there needs to be some better guidelines around course installs. This is a great course and a great concept but sadly misses the mark in terms of health and safety.
@nichlynich
Nice beginner/simpler course with a couple of fun mandos. Need to use caution throughout as holes 1 and 8 are throwing toward roads, holes 2-4 are near reasonably high foot traffic areas, hole 7 is right next to a carpark, and hole 9 has you work around a restricted and fenced off area. Baskets not especially close to the points in the app.
@landersonkiwi24
Course layout should be changed and GPS/baskts/tees need to be updated. Some aren’t even in the same area. Will show the photos of where the tee/basket was compared to on the map. Hopefully it will be updated. When goalposts is up on 7, it means you can’t play because people are on the pitch.
@mattwk
Nice to have another course by the uni. However course design is weak and flows poorly with high interactions with others even during non field use. Holes should avoid carparks and crossing walkways. Considering the location on uni grounds I think it would be best to reevaluate some holes to a more beginner friendly layout.
@jongenburger
Someone put a football goal right in front of one of the tees
@andrewtyrrell
Ignore the aerial imagery on the map. Several buildings no longer exist
@mattvannoort
A beginner friendly course that is open and reasonably short. Some of the hole designs are dodgy (throwing up paths and over/next to car parks) and it is not a loop that brings you back to the start.
@jbird87
Amazing baskets and teepads. Design and layout need work. Hole 1 is unsafe as you may go into a carpark, a river or a road. Hole 2 has seating down the left side. Next few holes plays along sports fields. Hole 7 plays around another carpark. Hole 6 is a nice idea with the mando, but even a well executed forehand can hardly return to the basket. Hole 8 although unlikely has a drain that could eat a disc. And Hole 9 is beautiful but has a carpark only a couple meters behind the basket, ace run at your own risk. Full redesign would be great. Hole 9 finishes nowhere near the 1st tee. Would not play again unfortunately.
@jepp8042
Nice course on a quiet day, will be very difficult to play with sports be played
@nicholasjgm
Fun course with some unique lines, couple of holes go close to car parks.
@jansseno
Pretty good short course Will be playing it frequently
@bohanbobo27
Great little course at UC. Just be aware about people who shares the path along hole 2 to hole 6. Overall the course is good fun with some tricks.
@jordanha
Great new course, open and great variety
@aidangoose
For an ‘open’ course, the tee locations do a great job making the shots technical. Kudos. Since it’s on the university campus, the course is very difficult to play safely during uni hours. So be smart with when you turn up.
@dsuckling123
Great course Good for begginers and intermediate players. 1 downside to the course is where you finish is quite far away from where you park.
