@maxlousem
Not maintained, but incredible potential. Would love to see woods incorporated, and stretched to 18 holes. But for what it is, knowing no one does ANYTHING to maintain it, I’ll still come play as my preferred free course near me. Basket location for hole 7 & tee pad for hole 8 are at least 10 feet off actual.
@tjash76
Badly in need of some TLC. Great location, great park, decent layout, but there are no tee pads, no signage, and the baskets are well past their prime. Nearly unplayable in the summer with tall grass unless you have some throwaway discs. Cumberland is missing a great opportunity to have a hallmark course in Maine with this property.
@brianphillips
9 baskets that are not mounted, no tee pads no tee signs. Cheap baskets.. not good
@buzzzmichel
No signs, or tee pads. Leaning, rusty and/or all together missing baskets. EXTREMELY tall grass and clueless people walking their dogs all over the place. And then the ritzy town of Cumberland asks for suggested donations? For what? They can’t afford to keep it up better than this? Yikes. Avoid all together.
@rayfrolfs
Lots of long grass in the middle holes. Lost my Champion Roc3 on hole 6. I would add more fairway on these holes
@petethayer
All holes are open mowed fields. No directional signage on course, and most basket’s numbers are barely or not readable, Some baskets have been moved significantly as compared to the UDisc locations, and I never found #5 at all, definitely no where in sight of the UDisc location. That all said, throwing is always fun!
@scudstyle
No teepads, impossible to navigate without Udisc, which was having trouble loading. Also seems to be very popular spot for walks and dogs in fairways so have to take care to not hit anyone. Beautiful property, great walk, bad as a course as it is right now.
@mandarynornj
Too many dogs off leash. Seems like an unofficial dog park. Can’t throw without hitting a person or a dog.
@brangil
All holes are lacking Tee pads and signage which makes course navigation difficult, some holes such as hole 3 and 7 and not where UDisc has them marked. Holes 5 and 6 have about a 10 ft wide fairway surrounded by tall grass, a threat for ticks and disc monsters. Lost one disc on each of these holes, and they weren’t awful shots either.
@crushgurl
It’s lovely place but a boring course. Great to see all the good boys (dogs), and for ripping it but nothing technical. Just a big field. Great for field work.
@idrivea911
A course without tee pads is okay, but there should be ground flags or stones as indicators. The biggest problem was the course is very secondary to the dog park, so there's a lot of waiting for the fairway to clear, and a lot of defending discs from dogs. All that said, I'm coming back soon, with my dog 😉
@cadethorngage
Difficult to tell where the tee area is on each hole, course would be better if you could see the basket from each tee. With all the people/dogs running around I found it hard to commit to shots where I couldn't see the basket.
@mcrave07
Gorgeous property, rolling hills, much of it mowed. Old baskets and no teepads, but free, open and pretty.
@veedubbayou
Fun little free course. Lots of people with off leash dogs so careful around blind corners. 8th hole basket has a lot of fallen leaves. Almost lost a red disc under them. Very fun place to practice!
@smitty207
For a free course I couldn’t be happier with it, very clean & friendly + dog friendly. Free courses aren’t supposed to be top tier either so for 9 baskets out in Cumberland, I’d say it’s pretty damn nice.
@bigbabyjesus69
I think ratings should take into consideration what it is. In this case, for a free, clean, maintained, open 9-hole, it is great. Not something you want to travel for but if you are in the area, this is as good as it gets for free practice. It's too bad seeing people give horrible ratings because it isn't Sabbatus or something. No crap. It is a free course in a park. This state is pay-to-play for the most part so if you aren't paying, be grateful.
@reedteaches
Pretty park, but mostly wide open holes. Good use of the elevation changes. No tee pads or signs. One bench after hole one. Single chain baskets that have been hit by a tractor a few times. There are a few holes that would be unplayable if the long grass hadn’t been cut in a month. Be aware that there are also a lot of unleashed dogs here as well.
@griffiath
Some of the baskets have been moved. For a free practice course it’s pretty nice when the grass has been mowed. If not, pretty tough to find discs. Soccer fields are great for practice.
@flashart
5th hole has grass that is too tall. Otherwise pretty fun. Watch out for ground hornets in the tall grass.
