The Woodland Elf @ Wildwood Campground

Wildwood is an off-the-beaten-path family Campground with a crystal clear lake (great for swimming and fishing), small playground, showers, toilets, and a community shelter. Set within a beautiful and mature white and red pine forest, The Woodland Elf DGC offers two sets of tees throughout the 13 hole layout and has several holes with interesting elevation features. Enjoy the incredible scent of fresh pine while throwing a variety of fun and challenging shots. Deer sightings are commonplace on the course and you are more than likely to hear Amish buggies clomping by as well as the calls of nearby peacock. Although constructed with an eye on safety, the course currently uses 8 baskets, shares a few fairways as well as a hiking trail. Since the campground is such a hidden gem, however, you are likely to have the entire course to yourself. If/when the traffic on this property increases we will have to switch to a 9-hole layout (with plans for expansion.) The intention is to create a more permanent layout within the next couple of years, but since everything on the Woodland Elf has been built entirely with hand tools and without funding, more work will be required to reach that juncture. If enough interest, volunteer work, and contribution is achieved we can continue to create a multitude of independent, fun and creative holes, as this incredible property has tremendous potential. Trash and recycling cans are available throughout the campground, so please pack in/pack out while throwing in order to keep our course clean. Please keep in mind that Wildwood is a family campground, so please be respectful by keeping a "PG" profile while on the property. We want to continue to build the relationship between Pine Lake Methodist camp and the disc golf community, and we can only do so if those on the course (and at the campground) are positive ambassadors of the sport we love. Lastly, we want your input! The intention for this course is to be a community project, combining disc golf with art. If you have ideas for the course or have art to contribute, please let us know. The aim for The Woodland Elf DGC is to be an experience or "vibe" that resonates in the minds and hearts of those who love the outdoors. Make a group trip out of it! Up to 6 people can camp in one site, which would only be $5 per person for an electric site. A trip to Montello is less than half an hour away and Wisconsin Dells is only a 37 minute drive.
