Had a lot of fun playing this course! I stuck to the short tees and was really happy with how the round went. The front 9 has a bunch of shorter “ace run” holes, while the back 9 opens up with longer shots and a few more par 4’s. The course is in good shape for being brand new. A few holes have some thornbushes and autumn olive, which is pretty normal for a fresh course until the rough is still getting beaten in, so a few holes felt a little more rugged than others. Watch your step; there are a few stumps sticking up along paths and fairways. As a righty, I threw a fair amount of forehand shots, which was fun. The shot variety is solid, and basket placements make good use of elevation. A couple of tees have tight gaps, but that’s part of the “woods course” vibe. Signage and “next tee” markers on the baskets made navigation easy. I’d like to come back and try the long tees sometime, probably with a friend to help spot, or for a league round next season.
