Hidden gem 💎. This is a grade “A+” course. You cannot skip playing The Claytons. It’s a solid mix of wooded holes with open field shots. This is a genuine test of a DG player’s ability to be compared with all. I enjoyed the multiple layouts and could see myself playing this course every day.
@turbocraig
Great course! I wouldn’t think the whites would be easy at all unless you like pars and bogeys.The frontFront nine were excellent, but the construction on hole 10 and the flow on the back 9 deducted a full star.
@titties
Hole 1 is an impossible birdie from the main tee to either basket. Course flow gets a bit strange at hole 9 and 18 is far from hole 1 (parking). Super well kept course with a variety of shots from multiple pins to multiple tees.
@zaranman
Thank you for providing this amazing course for the public to enjoy.
@ramboturtle
Only lacked bathroom facilities. Otherwise outstanding course!
@nathanmn
Really fun course with lots of altitude change. Front half wooded and back half long/open
@carsontwillis
Pretty awesome course, I could see the pros playing here. Love the woods holes, the open holes were pretty good for what they had to work with. No bathrooms
@lafayette
Great course. 1st part woods then back nine long.
@jackdinsmore
Beautiful course, fun mix of wooded on the front and open on the back, slick tee pads!
@reichmusic
Nice job- Loved it. Back 9 is a little unimaginative layout wise but overall liked it a lot. Visiting from DC
@nomadnick
Fantastic course, few spots I'd be curious how annoying it is during busier times, also I could imagine it being real bad after a rain storm but as I didn't experience those things I'll just sat amazing
@plstcwstlnd
LONG BOMBS (longs) alot of walking in between holes but this was a very fun course.
@lymbic
Front 9 is second to none with shot shaping long and short through the woods. Back 9 is a bunch of open let loose, up and down hills with some big hikes between holes.
@codyayers315
Honestly not sure why this course is rated so high. I’ve played 500 courses, and I’m confident that this one is overrated. I’ll cut to the chase… Good baskets, good tees, DECENT shot variety. Terrible layout/design. Miles of unnecessary walking between holes, to the parking lot, etc. The back 9 is extremely tedious, unless you love wide open shots in the wind. If not, you won’t have much fun.
@krevgan
Beautiful course, really fun
@bigbaddawson
Fantastic, challenging course with two baskets per hole. The front 9 plays mostly wooded, requiring players to stay in fairways that utilize elevations and feature a variety of fairway shapes. The back 9 is far more open and requires players to avoid OB and wood lines. The warmup area is great with multiple baskets to throw and putt at. The only downside is that there are some long walks between baskets on the back 9.

Best course I’ve played as far as setting the standard for signage, layout, teepads, left/right holes and distance. Loved this course and consider it a hidden gem in TN. Do not miss this place!
