What an incredible course I can see why it’s one of the top 100 in the world! If you’re driving down, I 10 you have to make the 30 minute detour to come play this course it’s a must
@billthecrusher
Wonderful course. Everythi g was nice and the holes were fun. Worth the visit
@farris34
Such a beautiful course. Everything about it was awesome. The tee boxes, baskets, pin placement, signage, walkways, everything. One of my favorites and this is my 109th course played. Def recommend for all levels.
@tomtabor
This is definitely my favorite course that I've played in Alabama. Can't wait to come back someday. Hopefully y'all host the Alabama junior championships at some point
@isuaggie
Very well maintained course with nice pads, signage and tee options. Mostly narrow lanes with lots of tall pines to navigate around. A couple of interesting water holes also. A very nice park course for me....but not a destination course imo.
@mikeharrington
So well maintained. Crews out blowing pine straw of fairways and greens and picking garbage from a washout rain. Absolutely a great course and i am glad I checked another HouckDesign course off my list
@nathanbr2
Great course. Lots of shot variety. Large Teepads. Worthy of its top 100 Rating.
@cntbg23
Everything just made sense. A bit of overlap but even that was handled well. Some of the most fun and beautiful shots I’ve played. Excited to play more John Houck designs💪🏾
@maxathon13
Fantastic course and very well kept. Easy to get lost though so watch your signage!
@arkitekman
This is a really well-designed classic southern pine forest course. I’ve give it five stars except hole eight made no sense to me. A long boring wide open field and then you have to walk back all the way to where you started to get to hole nine.
@jzoltanski2
John Houck courses always exceed expectations! If you are anywhere near by you need to come play!
@nikkiwyatt
Great course. Tons of signage and easy to follow for out of towners. Could use restrooms.
@brianphillips
The flow here is horrible, throw 8 walk all the way back backwards to throw 9? Why.. also many of the holes and fairways and baskets are really close to one another. Just seems smashed together. Just way to much walking backwards to next pad here. I would not waste my time playing ever again
@jugglingfool
Played one round for a flex start and I am blown away. This course is a real gem. The city of Symes AL deserve many kuddos for how well maintained it is. The design is top notch. Navigation was easy. This is a destination course for sure.

Never had more fun playing lumberjack
