This course was a lot of fun. Ace run galore for sure but a top course it is not. If I lived nearby I’d probably play it the same amount as I’ll play it while living a few states away, which is once. The bottom line is that this course is significantly overrated and would not even make top 25 in the state of Minnesota. In fact it was easily 6th of the 6 courses we played on our trip. Fun? Yes, especially the back 9 as the front 9 was pretty blah. Worth $10? Nope. Solid course, 3.75 is what I’d give it if I could but I cannot in good faith round up considering how inflated the current rating is.

Mulch on a lot of the walking pathes. Few of the fairways on the front 9 overlap each other. Some of the holes on the front 9 have little to no fairway lines. They are more of a poke and hope. Majority of the holes seem to favor RHFH throws.

As a group who plays a lot of wooded mountain golf, we made the effort to play the “#1 course in Kansas” but honestly not that fun. There are some cool shots, but a lot of spray and pray into a line of trees. Not the best course in Kansas. Cedar ridge is much better woods golf.
@jmarcouiller
Awesome par 3 course. Clearly a lot of love is put into it. Come and support the horticulture center!
@willsolomon
My first corse I’ve ever played in the state of Kansas. Course is ok—just ok.
@br0wnstalli0n
Very impressive course, loved the little details put into each hole. I will definitely come back!
@dwall82
Awesome wooded course. I’d definitely come back and bring friends.
@ryanheinlein
Heavily wooded course with some elevation changes. Provides opportunities for a variety of shots. Tight lines to landing zones. Multiple hole placements, well-maintained and a beautiful course. Definitely worth the $ and the drive for a chill day at the Spoon.
@scuzzi
Fantastic woods course! Wouldn’t say it’s a top 5 Kansas disc golf course, but it’s top notch
@jalenorse
Amazing place to play! Top 5 in Kansas easily.
@kingwilliam
Webs everywhere keep from 5 stars but great nonetheless
@perrymartin
Always a fun time at Spoon. Great course with some of the most unique and challenging lines in KC. Wooded technical must play in KC.
@rkdi21
Love it! Challenging lines. Elevation.
@drfrisb
An enjoyable course. Fun elevation changes and variety of basket options. Worth the drive! Thank you to the owners for allowing us to play
@tnimajneb
Bring your money and play this jewel. A technical but truly fun mix of straight laser shots, with equal amounts of left and right dog leg holes makes it even for all players. Water can come into play on a few holes but not unfairly. Beautiful design elements, benches and tables on nearly every hole! Don’t miss!!!!
