Great course! I'm from out of town, but was in the area and asked on Facebook about recommendations. Southwoods came up several times. After playing it, I see why! The tees are well maintained and in great shape. The signage is awesome. The little arrows in bottom of the baskets to guide you to the next tee are not something I had seen before, but would like to see a lot more often. It's alone 100% wooded, and many of the shots are in narrow fairways, but even being narrow, they're all very well maintained and wide open. No gimmicky junk or stray branches. There is a decent amount of shot variety, so it could be played lefty or righty, forehand or backhand, though some of the turns and dog-legs could be a little more. Great variety, just no big turns or big dog-legs. Fun, not difficult, I guess. The rough definitely keeps you honest but isn't miserable and there's no real fear of losing your disc (at least not this time of year). The layout is great (especially the use of elevation changes). It's one of the best designed courses I've played. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, and I can't wait to play it again!

Solid little course. Was an unexpectedly good time. Fun variety of shots. Good mix of technical and open. Will definitely play it again when I town.
