Matt, Dan, and I worked with the city of Hayward to bring this course to life. Just played it for the first time today and had a blast, Matt even got an ace! So happy with how it turned out. Kudos to Leonard for course design and Michael and team from the city of Hayward for bringing this to life.

Played on a Thurs afternoon and had course all to myself. I was passing thru so wanted to check it out. Like it says it's a beginner course and I wouldn't mind it if I was local but definitely not a destination course by any means. No real obstacles so this is good for practicing midrange and putting.

4 stars because itโ€™s clearly a beginners course or good pitch and putt for experienced players.

Short, open course perfect for beginners. More experienced players can use it for short upshot practice.

Its a great approach and beginners course. I highly recommend this for those who are learning to play but beware of beginning few tees can lose your disc to the neighboring yards if you do not have control down yet.

With all baskets between 120โ€™ and 260โ€™ shots with no significant obstacles, this is an excellent beginner course. Fun for an okay player to shoot consistently under par finally. More advanced players might consider playing putter only or safari longer layouts.

South Gate Park Disc Golf Course is located in a lively and safe family oriented neighborhood and is the quintessential beginners course as it is nearly impossible to lose a disc as it is a very forgiving course. Holes range in distance from 115 feet to 240 feet or so. This will be a special course for me as I made first birdie here and also scored my first even game albeit on only 9 holes. On a Sunday morning at 7am there was no wait and we played the course three times taking about an hour and a half for 27 total holes played and around 5,250 steps of walking. Until I get better, I will use this course until my game gets better. Very relaxing course that should set the standard for more parks in the Bay Area to emulate.

Easy / short 9 holes with new tee pads and baskets, few obstacles, great for beginners. Mixed use park so watch for dog walkers, and thereโ€™s a basket in center field of the baseball field so mid-day you may want to skip hole 7.

Great course for beginners, very easy to navigate, and quick to get through if you're short on time.
