Beautiful deep woods setting. Good signage and baskets. Dirt tees. Half the holes are very short, but the thick tree coverage, sharp angles and very tight gaps make for Plinko-style frustration. The later holes get longer, but the gaps are still tiny. Without serious tree removal, this course will just feel like an afternoon of tree-hitting. After playing here new players will probably hate disc golf. Detailed review at Discgolfcoursereview.com

I understand this is a newly built course but it needs a lot of work / help. T signs / posts are almost always in the middle of where a tee pad should be, or directly in the way of your backswing or follow through. The fairways/lines are very unrealistic of how discs fly. It has 145ft holes impossible to have easy birdies or ace runs for advanced players. And they are very difficult pars for new players. Out of the 9 holes only 2 holes were well placed and had clear fairways that are achievable. For this being designed for beginners this course will end up scaring people away from the sport with its current layout. Tee signs are also not the most accurate to what the throwing lines actually are. This course COULD be much more beginner friendly with some tee box / fairway redesigns keeping the baskets where they are. Also think this course was opened too early.

I was really hoping for a short, beginner-friendly nine hole course near my house to practice on, but this is unfortunately not the case yet. Besides tee signs being placed in fairways and teeing areas, many fairways lack clear lines with dense tree coverage, creating an unfriendly track for beginners and experienced players alike. Couple holes with great potential (and others with clear spots for improved tee/baskets locations) but overall, this opening might have been a little premature😢

Good course for quick technical rounds with only 3-4 discs. Could use to clean up some fairways but it’s manageable to play. Just keep your eyes on your discs during its flights or it will bounce off the trees to nowhere. Don’t mind to play again when in the areas.

Baskets are so so and the tee signs are a little too close to the tee areas on some holes. I had fun and think there is potential here.

Short corse with plenty of trees. Open brush so easy to find your disks. If you can park a good drive you will ace this course but many trees. I had a blast here.

Somers is 9 hole course with questionable design choices. Despite the shorter distances of the holes, very minimal clear lines or desirable shot shapes can be found. Teepad placements in relation to "fairways" seemed like there was not enough thought put in. Dangerous tee sign placements that are either completely in the way of a run up, or preventing the back swing follow through.

Great potential for a good course but tee signs being 6 inches to a foot of the tee pad is an issue especially if you RHBH player and some holes are near impossible to make a line

Some ice in a lot of spots where there's run off. But it's due to this season.. It's a really nice fun, short course.

My experience with this course is as follows: Me intermediate level enjoyed the shot variety with a few ace runs mixed with playing smart and pure luck. Missing the fairway has some consequences depending on the hole you are on. My father (50+ beginner) the beginning is friendly but can get challenging towards the end. Be sure to keep track of your discs due to the high volume of leaves on/off the fairway. Suggest coming with someone else who has some experience but can be managed solo. Would recommend for all ages.

Short course but mostly wooded so have to get creative with tee shots. The layout is great and marked very well. Happy to have a solid course in Somers

New wooded course. The course is still being worked on, but is playable. Don't let the short distance on most holes fool you. Very challenging lines. Elevation is brought into play on several holes.

This is a temp course which is being treated like a future permanent course. Don’t follow UDisc Waze to find parking area. You want to find the Rec Park entrance and drive all the way to farthest parking area (behind Somers HS). Hole 1 is in the woods past the softball field. Very fun for new players and fair pars. Course tracks in a clockwise pattern.
