@mrpickett
Solid little 9 holes. I'd be hitting this up daily after work if I lived in the area!
@randygertan
One of the most Underrated courses! Fun shot shapes and ace runs. Difficult to navigate at first but great course
@turboextreme
Needs some better direction and to at least re-label basket 2 as basket 2 and not 5!
@ericswantje
No signage, confusing layout, and the U Disc map doesn't work. The course design / hole layout is pretty good, but finding your way around is frustrating.
@tconnors83
Updated layout in January, 2024 takes it back to the classic layout devised in 2005. Fun, short track with tricky greens. Loved the old B9 that was decommissioned, wish it would make a comeback. Until then I give it 4 stars.
@nattysnaps
Course was very fun, beautiful mossy wooded area, but the signage was awful and needs urgent upkeep. We spent as much time wandering around trying to find tee boxes as we did playing the course. Would give an extra star if the signage was fixed.
@christaunruh
Amazing course but really hard to find the tee offs. We spent a lot of time looking, particularly on the back 9, however I should caveat that by saying that I think the back 9 is still being worked out. The views are stunning. I had the Jurassic park theme song was in my head the whole time 😂. I think this is my new favourite course.
@tiredm9744
Map doesn’t match up. No basket at 5. No tee markers for 7. A bit frustrating
@vorchess
Terrible course, location is nice enough. This course needs to be re-designed. Just play it and you will understand.
@zuhhkt
2 tee pads per basket, a fun challenge! Lots of elevation and rewarding if you hit your lines. Stay in the fairway! Pretty easy to find discs that go where you didn’t intend for them to ;)
@rtaylor4
After hearing so many good things about the course, I am extremely disappointed. First, signage is almost none existent. For a 9 hole course it took my gf and I 1-1/2hours to complete. We can do that on a 18 hole course. Secondly every basket is on some sort of elevation, even if you have a decent first/second shot, your disc will roll away more than 5 metres not to mention you’re in a jail cell the whole time with no lines to shoot. Also no smart lay outs. Probably won’t come play this course again.
@jutberg
Really enjoy this course. Short and challenging. Has some really great holes like the big downhill over the ferns on 5 and the tunnel/hallway on 7. It was a 5 when the back 9 was playable. Downgrading to a 4.5 until they can make a full 18 holes again, hopefully soon. Absolutely worth a stop if you’re a disc golfer travelling through Gibsons.
@superteej
Just needs some hole maps at the tee
@mthomson
Great course. Our home course but a lot of fun for all ages. Technical enough for more experienced players on the blue tees, but short enough for kids off the red tees. Great spot, and even better since the back 9 got fully developed!
@guuslammers
So disappointing to see the back nine torn out. This course used to be in my to 3 and was my main point of excitment when coming to visit family on the Sunshine coast. The regional district reaction to remove half of the only course on the Sunshine coast when there has been unprecedented increases in demand for the sport is a true shame.
@marcusbrejak
You ever meet that one person who had it all, looks, popularity, respect, but now is a shadow of who they were. That's Shirley Macey. The SCRDs flagship course and is a nice representation of what the SCRD stands for. This course was a beautiful horse, a stallion perhaps. But now it's simply a camel. Layout changed for safety reasons only to create more hazardous scenarios of people leaving the course up a hill blind to tee pad one. Oh you can walk around to the fields loop down to Langdale to be safe if you want. Hole 9 was a great night cap on the round now hole 6 is 9, which is too easy of a hole and leaves you half way up soames (knob Hill), not even man tracker can find hi swas out with the signage. Man I miss old Macey, it's forever Knob Hill for me now thanks to the knobs that ruined it.
@pollywog24
Confusing layout, basket #'s don't match. Course map posted at entrance is outdated. Why does this club keep changing the layout??
@disqphraulph
Short putter course, good for beginners. Somewhat neglected.
