Upkeep - Could be mowed but not too overgrown yet. Baskets in great shape. Shot variety/design - With three pads you can choose your level or distance. Each tee pad has several routes to the target. Off-fairway areas are not too rough so finding discs is easy. Tee areas - tee surface and size are great Signage/wayfinding - next tee signs are helpful. Color coded post caps and signs make it easy to find the tee pad you want. Amenities - there are some benches, more would be great Scenery/views - elevation and wandering stream adds views

Really great layout. It's a workout with all the elevation. Will soon be 3 tees. Lots of love happening here.

The newly re-designed course opened in early July l. The dedication that the club put into bringing the course to life is evident in nearly everything you see. Pristine fairways, flawless tee pads, UDisc layouts, and details down to the “Shaver” branding on the benches and “S” even on the red/blue signage make this course the best in Iowa.

Blue tees are very challenging with distance and shot shape. Elevation plays on most if not all holes. 10 is a sick island green

Hands down, one of the best courses I’ve ever played. Beautiful grass fairways, fun shot shapes, and great views. This course is perfect.

Fantastic! Severe elevation, long, wooded, variety. It was like playing a live version of Disc Golf Valley’s Owlwood or Grizzly Gulch.

The course design is great but the rough is pretty unforgiving. Thistleville USA. Over 3 miles of course, lots of uphill but that’s just the way she goes sometimes. If the tough wasn’t so dense I’d probably rate it a 4.5/5

The longs are really fun, challenging to score on most. Like a longer way more rugged pickard. Awesome.

Absolutely loved the redesign! The elevation was entertaining. Massive dogleg on #12 was something else. Better than ever.

Great park setting style course. Elevation changes, and the baskets almost all on a hill make for a challenge on the greens.

Weird mix of tough par 4s and short par 3s. Impossible to play blind without UDisc maps. Almost all the holes are really good holes. Course flow is terrible though

Great course, the only complaint is the actual course flow. There is a ton of back tracking and long walks between holes. Overall a great course, definitely a top 5 course in Iowa, and worth driving from far away to play.

Immaculate. Incredible. John Houck design. Thousands of man hours from the local community. “If you build it, they will come” type deal. Absolutely amazing. Well done CR disc golf club.

The redesign is worth the drive if you haven’t played here in a while. -37878
