Not for the faint of heart. Tough course. Tee pads are only available for Gold layout. There are flags denoting Blue tees at 3, 5, 6, 9, 11, 13, 17, and 18. The par for 12 and 7 has been increased to 5. Holes 1 and 14 remain at 4. To be clear, those distances are 207m and 212m. It is too bad that a very accessible course is not accessible for beginners and intermediates. Maybe increase the par for those plus 200m holes?

Best course in Toronto. Mostly open, lots of distance required.

Course has great shot shapes and excellent challenge. Distance is a big help as well as comfort throwing variety of shot angles. Disappointing no beginner tees put in, and considering the teepads are unframed turf would not be impossible to do. Intimidates beginners and given that conditions are often difficult, would be a nice option to have. I think certain setups aren’t fully considered given the state that this is a seasonal winter course - for example location of pin on hole 6 is on side of slope 15 feet from a creek. Not even making a comment about losing discs inside C1 into murky water, this side of slope instantly becomes all muddy and slippery and I have seen multiple people fall on that backside and just become slathered in mud. Hole 11 basket I’ve seen either the entire C1 in a big puddle or it’s own skating rink because it’s a low spot without drainage. I really enjoy the course and appreciate it gets installed, I just do believe it could be improved to make a more enjoyable experience for the majority of players even without changing difficulty. Updated review Dec 2023 as new scale available.

First time playing the course, so here's my impressions of it: Definitely a course that requires distance, even with the shorter new blue tee layout. Plenty of varied challenging shot shapes which is enjoyable. Speaking of the new layout, it is very difficult to find the short tee pads without Udisc which is unfortunate for non-regulars such as myself. Tee areas were generally pretty terrible (not flat, too short, or surrounded by potholes), dangerous if you're not careful. Holes 17 is one of the cooler holes I've seen in the city, definitely bring a disc retriever. Solid course, but I prefer Dentonia as a longish par 3 course. Takes a long time to just do 18 at Scarlett, and it was pretty busy, so I probably won't make the trip as regularly.

So much land to design a great course. A little more love and a little less wide open distance an I’d give this a 5

Update: after playing for a couple of years, it’s lovely to come back to Scarlett and feel like I’ve got a chance at par (or even birdie!) on some holes. Others are still wildly long and a par isn’t feasible — but that’s what you get with a championship course. We’re lucky to have this right in the city! — Course is in great shape. Map helped. Watch out for the rushing water on 12 — ate my diamond! Extra half star if there were red tees — 900ft for a beginner is a lot.

Nice ball golf course, with a challenging pro level layout. 400+ ft needed for Birdie on several holes. Customer service was quite sub par in our case unfortunately. Great course to play though.

Great challenge particularly with length and the water features. Good variety of holes and lines. Muddy right now so bring lots of towels and boots

First time ever playing! The 9 holes made for a nice intro and lots of short distances. There are some water hazards and a river near by.
