The irony of a course called “Sawmills” having a couple hundred trees across the fairways is pretty crazy. What is the deal with this place?! Several fairways are nearly impossible to walk down much less play. Several others have a few trees across the fairway that could be cleaned up with a chainsaw and 30 minutes of time. While I liked the course layout, the lack of signage and complete disregard of clearing trees from the hurricane (well over a year ago) made this course a huge disappointment. Hope the park/local volunteers can get this place cleared of trees and back to its former glory.

Some maintenance issues on 8 & 9, but overall one of the prettiest courses in North Carolina.
