For a park style course in your area, this is a 5/5. Has a great mix of shorter and longer holes that are mostly wooded and technically challenging. Great course to go play, worthwhile if you’re in the Asheville area imo.
@tfuhrmann
Too much pedestrian traffic. Great course on a day where the park is not popular. And not really cart friendly. Maybe cart tolerable.
@grippnripum
Great little course especially if you wanna practice throwing up hill. If you're visiting the area i would skip this one. But if I lived here and knew what shots to throw I'd come with my 6 discs and a putter and have a great time.

No signs really or way finding. Udisc is a must. Course is short but technical and requires a variety of shot shapes

Update: Full 18 holes back in play baby! Considering the conditions of all the courses around here after the hurricane, Sandhill is a solid contender for best course in Asheville. Brand new benches, clean fairways, new stairs and mulch. Solid mix of hard and easy holes. Also has the best amenities of any course in the area with even more bathrooms going in. Fair warning though, if you come during peak soccer hours (typically evenings after school), expect a lot of foot traffic in the fairways and some interruptions to your round. Kids, hikers, cars, balls, etc.
@sealscanfly
Good add to the Asheville area. Good short variety, very wooded and tight. Gets busy in the afternoons.
@spartan1
Way too much poison ivy, some tee pads are marked by rocks spray painted red. May be time to scrap the 15 hole layout and start over. Course seems an afterthought to the soccer fields.
@david978
Used to be one of my favorite courses, even with some shots that usually frustrated me. (Definitely holes I'll never ever birdie). Played it almost weekly when I first moved to the area. It's a freaking shame that we can't find room for 3 more holes on the property after 2 years of disruption. Despite a few folks who don't like the trees or blind shots or the elevation, etc., it would be right up there with the other courses in the area with some care and maintenance. It's hard for me to recommend a 15 hole course, but if it's ever restored and you're ready to hit some gaps, go try it out.
@krunktoten
Pretty fun course. Needs missing holes replaced
@tbriceno
Best kept park bathrooms I've experienced. Be mindful of the changes to the layout.
@bfonville
Full 18 holes brings this course back to a top Asheville course. A lot of uphill holes and soccer fields can make the complex overcrowded - my only downsides.
@benhinchliffe
Has a lot of fun shots in the woods, and can be very challenging. There are a few field shots and some holes that just make no sense, but still a fun course to play. Also has some wide open soccer fields that you can use if you are trying to do some field work.
@jacktropolis
Great par 3 course. Mix of open and wooded. Very hilly and technical in the woods
