Wayfinding was difficult even with Udisc. Very hard to play blind. Most holes dont have concrete pads. Layout was confusing with long walks between holes.

@alexwessinger
Hats off to the group (Darrell and co.) for the partial redesign and doing whatever’s necessary to get this course back ready to play. Some really awesome holes (1, 4, 9, 11, just to name a few). Just needs teepads and bridge on 1 to give Columbia a potentially final option to host an A tier. Again, wonderful job by everyone involved!

@roberthogue
A lot of fun holes with varying level of difficulty. Clean fairways at the moment. Lot of risky shots with plenty of opportunities to lose a disc
@huutsprodigy420
indeed this course is challenging , lots of walking, lots of shot variety, if your up for a challenge go for it, you probably wont be dissapointed or will be...

@tyhowey7
Fun course, worth playing every once in a while with cost being 5$

@smithlexg
Great technical wood course. Ready to see it get pads installed and some short baskets.

@rjmc64
Very challenging, needs better signage. Beautiful course with a good variety of shots. Will play again.

@omgimcalen
Really good medium length holes with several par 4's and a couple par 5's. Just teepads and some signs away from being a really good 4.5 star course!

@rlsmith34
Tee areas are not good but course is in the best shape i’v seen in along time due to it not being overgrown. Lost of different shot shapes. Great course!

@kallsen56199
Updated Review: course is in much better condition. Fairways are widened out and the rough is more fair. Still no tee pads and poor signage. Designers should focus on the main 18 rather than the multiple pin positions per hole.
@cce02002
Great design, a great wooded course. The fairways are challenging, but fair and demand a variety of shot shapes, and you are rewarded for good placement. Not much OB, but going off the fairway will cost you. Most of all, the designers avoided gimmicks and one dimensional holes and just created really interesting fairway shapes. Natural tee pads and in a swampy area, so don't go after a heavy rainfall. Tee pads play fine, like playing from a fairway, but would be bad if muddy. If you can get over the fact that the tee pads aren't done, you are in for a great course.

@jonathanfrye
Had a very good time playing here. I am very happy to have another course in the area. Some shots are very demanding but fair. However, some holes seem too luck dependent, and the course needs some TLC (plant refuse piles on greens, overgrown in places, etc). Hole 14 sticks out as the one hole that needs a redesign, as players are expected to throw a blind hyzer over tennis courts (endangering the tennis players). Other than that, great course, and will be 5-star once it is finished.
@kpothegamer
Coming along well. Still needs more arrows on sign posts and baskets. Must use UDisc and sign posts to get where you need to go. Tough course, but good. Tee boxes are all dirt and slippery when wet.

@brettculver
Upkeep just needs a lot of work. Especially for a pay to play park

@ryankrick
Has tons of potential - fairways need to be kept better and very little room to throw, even while on the fairway. Once teepads are installed and brush and debris are cleared out, then Saluda Shoals could become one of the better courses around the area.

@posborne15
Not a bad layout but incredibly overgrown and swampy, even some basic upkeep like mowing the grass would make it more playable in its current state (pipeline excluded, there not much that can be done about that). Hopefully when the construction is done it can get some TLC.

@boonebenson
This course has the potential to be awesome but the layout, tee signs and areas, and directions made it a challenge to like.
