Classic must-play course of risk/reward. Dropdead gorgeous layout — tees, signage, practice area, shop, elevation, hole design, baskets are all A++. Holes have higher pars from an earlier era. Playing blind was very challenging — unclear fairways/landing zones and even some hidden water on hole 3. It seems like a course you quickly learn to attack aggressively. I only had 4 discs (US putter, neutral mid, US driver, OS driver) with me I picked up on the trip but even that felt like enough to have a chance at birdie/eagle on every hole (if I was better I would have!). I would suggest a rethink of the signage — it is plentiful but was not effective to explain where the baskets or fairways or hazards were. Par 4/5’s could use a stripped pole with the hole number for the landing zones like ball golf to avoid playing the wrong gap. Obviously the pars are inflated but they are always subjective and the goal is to get the fewest strokes not to “beat par”. It shares tees with Falcon and got very hard to busy with varied skill levels around noon on a nice October day. Also saw someone get stretcher’ed out (hope they are ok) so be careful with your footing!

Beautiful course, amazing complex. So well kept and a variety of different shot shapes. One of the better courses I've played
@runningmann
The nicest course I’ve played in the state of Maine! Extremely well-maintained and the signage is perfect. The use of elevation changes was deliberate and creative in design, awesome course.
@adamfields
This place is absolutely amazing. Just like the other courses on the property. Definitely see why their top rated. I’m definitely coming back.
@jaminswift
Great course, par 4/5s are minda soft
@jdeal2009
Tough course, generous pars. Creek took my zone so time to buy another. Luckily there is a pro shop on site.
@trav0421
Awesome course. Great mix of wooded and open holes. Different shot shapes required. Tee pads are great for the most part just a few that are broken or too small. A few tee signs are inaccurate or not very helpful.
@smittypantz
Beautiful course with all of the amenities you would expect from a world renowned DGC. Perfect tee pads, perfect maintenance. A wide variety of shots from long and open to short and challenging.
@masonkupfer
Fun and variety filled course. Pads are a little soft and not very punishing, but that can be adjusted. Otherwise a very fun course and would recommend.

The only issue is the amount of swamped out areas there are on a lot of holes. Understandably, there’s only so much you can do about it. It’s nature. Only between 15-17 was where I got confused on navigating. Par 5’s also aren’t necessary. I think I’ve only played a couple courses that have had any par 5s. I changed them to par 4s though. To each their own!
@kennypoulin
It’s obviously an awesome layout. They are dealing with massive flood damage right on a few holes. I imagine this will eventually change the design of a couple holes, but a great chance to have a few new looks!
@elijah10
Great course! Uses most of the same fairways as Falcon but longer and more difficult shots. Work still in progress on a couple holes.
@buzzzmichel
Trickier than the Hawk but very manageable pars, and well maintained. Beautiful property.
@durant
Went here with 4 other guys, they all loved it, like it's a 5* or something. I don't agree, its aight
@robthepope86
Lots of things left half done for months. Surprising for the price they charge at the “best” course in Maine. Also, if you’re going to have water hazards running through your course, you could at least have some bridges.
