@gamclean
Great course to play around tournaments or in the winter when the overgrowth is cut back/dead. Fun holes and amazing scenery make this course very fun. I just wish they would maintain it better in the warmer months.
@acemystic10
ANTSSSSSSS 500 MILLION ANTS EVERYWHERE. Litterally ant hills on tee pads. and the ants bite. Grass is very long and unmaintained in many areas. Wind is a big factors here too. Also some holes unplayable if they're are sporting events happening. Signage is great tho not hard to find the holes. Also the water on hole 12 isn't too scary.
@qazenator
ANTS
@mstrjollo
Advanced layout. Great open track. Allows you to test your bombs while keeping you in line with a couple island holes.
@runninwithbulls
Course layout not the greatest. Better directions to next hole would be great.
@tkcornet
Red ants EVERYWHERE!!! This course seems like 1 big ant colony, every hole, every step; you will get bitten. ****CAUTION!!!****
@jacobv7
Poor signage, fire ants, and no trail map by hole 1. solid holes
@archimedes83
Good elevation changes , a good mix of open and wooded holes . It is clean and well maintained but it is hard to navigate and their are no markers to show which way to get to next tee. It is quiet uncrowded and peaceful. Watch out for red ants though, they love the clay soil.
@blake7689
As of 4/5/2025, course seems all but abandoned. Everything is overgrown, teesigns are falling apart, baskets look dilapidated. Zoo City Disc Golf Club should be ashamed of how far they’ve let this course and north Asheboro fall.
@hallboy
Infestation of fire ants. Layout terrible unless you like hiking for miles. Not a fan of this one.
@jmac1972
Challenging. Thought the layout was ok, some par 3 should have been par 4 and vice versa, hole that runs beside baseball field had campers parked right in front of basket. Didn’t want to move while they saw Someone throwing towards there vehicle strange.
@slayball
Too many fire ants!
@themanjwall
Hole 2 and 3 especially 2 needs to be trimmed up don’t even have a path to throw
@climbinguy
The 4.0 rating this course has is very generous in my opinion. Mostly open course with some elevation. Fire ant hills are definitely around and should be observed. Pads are not great. Small concrete pads with larger gravel frames. Makes run ups difficult but not really necessary on this course due to its shorter length. Navigation between holes is difficult without udisc. It’s a course to play if you’re traveling on I74 and have 2 hours to kill.
@derekwhite66
Solid course that could be much better. Two main flaws are lack of navigation between holes and ants on first 12 holes. Holes 13-18 are phenomenal but 3 out of 4 people in our group got ant bites. Also grass should be cut but still pretty fun course
@mattybrappicus
Mostly open. Hardly technical. Fun time!
@cwilson10
The course was pretty well-kept. Some decently tall grass on some spots but overall decent conditions. As others have said some of the holes are not following the right layout. Hard to tell if you have never played here.
@lostdiscman
Nice course with a mixture of woods, elevation and open fields. Heed the warning sign at hole 1 tee about fire ants. Fire ants galore! Zero maintenance except for mowers every once in awhile. Course should be named “FireAnt Grove!” 😁
@samtro2000
It was once a beautiful well maintained course but has fell off in care and maintenance. Has the potential to be a well designed five star course.
@murfpatt88063
Not a very beginner friendly course, but for the more experienced. Very elevated and very tough shot shapes. Bring extra water and snacks with you during the hot days because you’ll feel it after hole 4. Overall, very beautiful when maintained and very quiet. Not much walking traffic out here so don’t be shocked if you come in the middle of the day on the weekend and see no cars here. Great baskets and great shots! Definitely recommend coming with a group and definitely watch out where you place your bags due to the fire ants, but still great!
