Hole 16. The safer play is to throw around to the water to the left. However, if you're feeling adventurous...
Bridge from hole 3 tee to basket. Recommend a drop zone by the far side if you didn't make / don't want to try your luck over the water.Course photoHole 12. Yep, that's it across the water.Another drop box? They think of everything!

History

Penhold Critter’s Corner/ Athletic Park History: The Town of Penhold is very appreciative of all those who gave of their time and advice in designing and reviewing the disc golf courses. The following are a few names who specifically enabled the town to build the successful courses: Dave Grose and James Koizumi from the Calgary Disc Golf Club generously donated all their time and experience to design both courses in 2024. They came onsite and marked out each tee and basket location for the Town to review. They patiently assisted the Town through all the design questions, product recommendations and concerns. Dave also came to the Discovery Night in Penhold in August 2024 to help promote the courses and answer any questions residents had as well as let them try out some discs. Dave has stopped by Penhold over the last 2 years checking out the course progress and giving advice for any concerns the Town has had. He also assisted the Town in getting familiar with the UDisc App and contacting Alan Callihoo. Alan did an excellent job of adding the Critter’s Corner (formerly Penhold Splash Park) course and Athletic Disc Golf Course to the UDisc App as well as supporting the town in getting set up on the app. Three members of the Central Alberta Disc Golf Association: Aaron T, Stuart R and John also contributed time and recommendations to improve the Critter’s Corner course to make it safer and more user friendly while in the trial period. Operations staff and summer staff spent a lot of prep work setting up the course and did a great job! Thanks again to all involved whether mentioned above or during the whole growing experience, you were part of a greater plan to further enable the Town to provide such a great amenity to Central Alberta!

Should be 4 stars with a creation of hole 18. Can’t play it when there are kids climbing on it. Definitely could make more use of the back part where the bridge is. Nice addition to central Alberta tho!
