@bakersixty
I want to like this course, but they bombed the back 9 layout bad. Not even worth walking to 14,15,16. They have clearly given up on basic maintenance. You’re likely going to lose a disc if you don’t land on a “mowed” area. Even if you could play around all the other people using the park, course is in rough shape.
@northernpines
Foliage is super thick in most places. Makes for many lost discs if you don't have a spotter
@am737900
Very repetitive, poor routing, retracing steps several times. Very open and long with little variety.
@jademet
Really great signage and teepads, but the layout leaves much to be desired. Back half is more fun.
@fitzpro
The new back 9 is perfect. Take a partner when the rough is in bloom. Great par-able layout with the opportunity to really shine if you are on point and willing to take risks. Look up.
@d3lta2k0
Great beginner friendly course with a lot of open shots to practice a variety of different flight patterns.
@jsneeringer
Found the 9 hole layout to be fun. Basket to next tee can be a bit annoying to have to traverse around. But overall a nice park course.
@toetallykyle
Giving this 4 stars because I was very impressed by the recent revamp of overlook's 1-9. Miles better than the previous design and I'm excited to see if the rest of the course will get the same treatment. This course has a good bit of open shots, but also a few technical lines, all with fair pars. There is apparently a good bit of OB, according to the signage, but it's hard to pick it out on the course - this could be marked better. Also, as others have said, there is some redundant walking required between some holes (especially 6 to 7). Overall, I am very happy with the new layout of 1-9 and would recommend others to check it out. Nice to have another playable course in the Lancaster area.
@mhess37
Was a beautiful place to lay now no shot variety as wife up grass to the front nine holes and the back is 3/4 if a Mike away to start only to walk back another 1/2 mile. Very sad as I see this course no longer as a viable course to play in the area and the park will eventually say no one uses it and eliminate it because they’ve made it miserable in the interest of new venues that they’ve placed over top of this once great venue :(
@gwearl
Beautiful area, poorly used. LONG walks between holes. Tight fairways surrounded by thick brush. If you are long and straight off the tee, perhaps a nice challenge for you. I am neither, so I'll not be back.
@crazydmom
The first 9 are now Ling and boring. The second half is like a puzzle figuring it all out. Won’t be returning here.
@gabibonifant
Back 9 are unplayable. Front 9 are significantly better than they used to be since being updated but having hole 1 start out with 647ft is kinda cruel 😫 Also, hole 4’s C1 and C2 is covered with vegetation and poison ivy.
@williamdecker88
The updated layout is fine. The back nine has more shot variation on a few holes and the front nine is good for a quick round over lunch.
@mxartist
Fairly beginner friendly course. Some holes are very obstructed off the fairway. Light pars on some as well. Grass wasn't bad but summer months could be hazardous.
@acegikmo
Front 9 is 4 stars, Back 9 is 3
@lumidaeus
I haven’t wasted that many steps since my days designing IKEA instructions
@jaybraham
Some tees are soooo far from the previous basket. Good for a walk. Poor setup even compared to old layout.
@trevorf
A masterclass in disaster course design. Recently redone and a complete waste of resources. Disjointed as anything
