Amazing 18 hole technical course with a good amount of elevation change. Tee pads are turf and in great condition. Signage on each tee pad with distance and par. Baskets are in great condition and highly visible. Wayfinding is extremely easy. With use of trees, distance variation, and par variation it allows for a huge variety of shot shaping making play interesting. Course is fantastically maintained and very scenic. Lots of amenities on site including pro shop, bathrooms, picnic tables at most tees and complimentary bug repellent.

I had a blast playing this course! Good signs and teepads. The pars are very forgiving though.

This course is fantastic! Short and technical. Lots of variety in the shapes of the fairways. Highly recommend if you're in the area
@chandlersendek
Solid course right off the highway. Good shot shapes, mostly wooded with a mix of par 3,4,and5. Well maintained and signed. Not bad for the closest disc golf course to Orono.
@pharrlower
Very nice pro shop with a large selection of discs. Have towels for $1 which was great for someone traveling. Glad we were able to fit a round in while traveling in Maine. Holes are very well maintained. Tee pads in great condition. Picnic table and trash can at every hole.
@jimmydicknose
Really fun course! Relaxed, yet technical - but not *too* technical.
@pickit25
Beautiful course with a great variety of shots. Several of the par 4s are very generous, and all of the par 3s are fun to throw. The blue turf tee pads are awesome, the only thing the tee areas are missing is a true tee sign with an image of the hole layout, etc. Johnny on the course which is a big plus for female players! Make sure to bring bug spray, mosquitoes have no mercy here!
@calvinm00
Great course clean fairways and roughs, nice clubhouse. Great course
@jeffw75
Lots of fun. Well maintained. Great people at pro shop. Interesting holes.
@dondanger
If this was my local course, I'd be so pleased. Not the longest or fairest pars but definitely good midrange/putter practice. Decent used section in the pro shop too.
@br0wnstalli0n
Excellent course with a decent pro shop and a variety of wooded technical shots. Maps on the tee signs would be the only thing I could say that was missing, but I found my way along via UDisc with minimal issues
@biohzrd
They were replacing baskets and wood chips. Worth the trip to play!
@discgolfphoenix
Much like its sister courses in Orrington, The Bear plays right between The Bobcat and The Lynx. Love that the entire course is woodchipped. Great course for mid range and putter shots. Well open with a stocked pro shop and very friendly staff. Great spot very close to Orono breweries and UMaine campus.
