This might be one of my favorite Nebraska courses now, and if it were in Lincoln or closer to Omaha, I think it would be extremely popular. Looking at the layout map, you would expect another pitch and putt park course. Oakland is not a pitch and putt to an amateur player. Tons of trees, low ceilings and hole lengths absolutely punish mistakes, while course design will definitely reward good, on line throws. Signage is basically spot on, facilities are well maintained, and tee pads are more than generous. There's even a working bathroom with running water. Pars are spot on, even if some are hard to make. Some of the baskets are a bit low. I don't know if that's intentional, or if I like it or not (I'm not an elevated basket fan), but it's something I noticed. Oakland is basically a park course that plays like a long woods course. It's worth the trip North from I-80 if you're passing through in my opinion.

Low ceiling and long holes

Challenging starter island.This course was a good one! Recommended
@tanto18
A long park course with beautiful trees! Mostly open shots and some lower ceilings due to the giant trees. Solid layout.
@aczappia
Fun park course and design is pretty good. Some ling he's mixed with some shorter ones as well
@jjacobson41
There are now tee pads for every hole with signs, but the signs only say the distance and OB. There is also a pretty good variety for long, short, and technical shots.
@jakevg
UDISC LAYOUT IS CORRECT. Signage has not been updated at the park!!! This was confusing as someone else said UDisc was wrong. Trust me, the one that says #1 is hole 2!! Good course, empty when we were here. Missing some pads but easy to find way with UDisc. Good for a small town!!
@jvanlaningham88
Great course, really loved everything about it. There’s some tee pads missing on the back 9, and the UDisc layouts do not match the actual hole signage, so somebody needs to update the layouts. Definitely worth the play!
@madande
Fun course, great views, neat place to visit
@jeffydahefty
UDisc doesn’t follow signs. Otherwise fun 9 hole course
@nrathbun17
1s basket is broken, otherwise nice course.

Dead coyote took it down a star
@ryan7lewis
Proposed layout of 18 was amazing. Really fun layout with good distance and fair ob.
@deshilton
Proposed layout for a new 18 hole layout. Tee boxes and signage not installed yet. However, great variation in long and short holes as well as shot shape. Looks to be a good layout for a permanent 18!
@boxcar
Fun, flat course around RV Park. 18 hole expansion has a few longer holes.
@jesiekohl
Great layout, Long cement pads, alternate pins, and overall fun course. Highly recommend if you are in the area.
@tyrus14
Nice course with good signs, great tee pads, and it has A & B pin locations.
@henschenm
Needs pads and signs, but those are coming. Super awesome upgrade to a small town course
@jacobschieffer
After all the flooding it is just swarmed with bugs! Bring the bug spray but still my favorite 9 hole course around.
