Welcome to Cape Cod’s newest discgolf course! Grant funding from the Town of Sandwich & the Discgolf Foundation helped to pay for the baskets, tee pad materials & some of the fairway clearing. Volunteers proposed, designed & installed the course. Like many public Discgolf courses, volunteers also maintain it. We don’t get any assistance or funding from the Town for course maintenance & upkeep. It takes consistent dedication, time & effort to keep up with maintaining an all wooded course on a volunteer basis. It’s always fluid & unpredictable. We hope you take this into consideration when leaving a review. When it comes to your own home course, try to give back when u can by volunteering because it’s the right thing to do if you truly love this sport. Moreover, it’s always appreciated by like-minded people. Public courses wouldn’t exist without volunteers…this is a fact. So when you see people working to maintain & improve a course, show your appreciation by thanking them or joining them. If conditions are less than ideal due to a perceived lack of maintenance, then read this post again. We hope you enjoy Oakcrest & moreover, appreciate the efforts made to continue to maintain & improve it. ⛓️❤️⛓️
@patrickhovey
Long to longs is a challenging track that tests distance, shot shaping, and angle control. Lots of elevation. Great course.
@parkerk44
Oakcrest is a beautifully designed course. It demands a ton of shot shapes. Stay on the fairway or you are probably getting a bogey. The par 4s are 10/10
@henrykraus
Good technical course, difficult but not overly so, course has good maintenance over all but there are some big roots you have to be careful of on fairways
@richbeaver
I played this course yesterday while visiting from IN. The course is in excellent shape and well maintained. The paver tee pads were very nice. There is a nice variety of shots. Most of the short baskets finish on the left side of the fairway which made it an extra challenge for a LHBH thrower like me. It was easy to navigate the course using UDisc. Hole numbers on the baskets would be a nice addition. All in all, a great course.
@dkalnes
Course should be called ferngully. Geez. Some signage needs attention. Fun course over though.
@benvondrak
1st, to all the fellow disc golfers, pick up your trash. That's on all of us and frankly is pathetic. 2nd, this is a great piece of property that has not yet reached it potential. Good shot variety and two layouts is kickass! But maintenance is lacking. Fairways have brush and stumps in them and off the fairway is filled with thorns, poison ivy, and a pitch out if your lucky. All in all I believe the course needs some work but is on the way to be a must play on the Cape. Please pick up your trash.....
@silkysr
Would be a much better course if all thorny bushes and holly trees were removed.
@tm95956
Fun track! Variety of shots with plenty of elevation change. Will play again.
@largelemon316
Maintenance has come a long way. Solid course. Little on the thorny side but better maintained than most paid courses. Baskets are a bit meh but lot of shot variety/elevation and some fun memorable holes
@mikemahoney
Great fun course. Smells funny in certain areas
@justintins
As everyone has mentioned, the rough has yet to be beat in at all. That’s the only thing that makes for a less-than-perfect round here. Great course design with a lot of love put into the tee pads and benches.
@sdolling
Well-designed maps, but poorly produced: black-and-white copies, laminated and stapled to trees.
@amiekurtzparker
Lots of work done since we were here two years ago! Enjoyed the course 👍
@fattyshay
This is a long challenging course where if you don’t make the fairway you are gonna pay for it. Cool lines and it’s definitely getting broken in
@djlariv
As one of 2 public courses on the Cape, the town needs to change their policy of $20 a car. It’s unacceptable for a vacation course
@jtquack
Thorns are still thick in places, so wear thick sole shoes, and pants. This course is 💎💎.
@mldevo
Huge improvement over last year. Fun course. Tight fairways with moderate elevation changes.
@dlavs19
Beautiful course on the Cape with generous fairways, extreme elevation up and down and overall fun shots.! Highly recommend, look out for thorns.
