I’ve never been to a truly beautiful and simultaneously unplayable course like this. Its potential to be an 18 hole heavily wooded course beloved by all disc golfers is uncanny. But someone decided it should be laughably impossible for anyone other than a top pro. And honestly, I don’t imagine even the top pros wouldn’t risk losing their discs here. It’s a meme-worthy, funny YouTube challenge course and nothing more.

I wanted to give this course a fair shot but it may be the worst course I’ve played since I started five years ago. Any shot off the fairway is a potentially lost disc, and if you manage to throw a 300ft shot and land in the middle of the 15ft wide fairway, there are roots everywhere that make a clean run up/even footing impossible. You can tell a lot of work was put into making these nine holes, unfortunately a lot more work is needed.

Nice location but course needs to be resigned to add something besides unforgiving boring straight aways. A few signs are pointed incorrectly. They could pour concrete leads instead of the lumpy rubber pads currently there. My two guests asked to leave after teeing off on hole three. I was happy to go as well. Hopefully the city revisits this and puts some effort into it.

I badly wanted to love this course due to it's proximity to my house. Unfortunately the other reviews are accurate. There's punishing bad shots, then there's what this course does. This course breaks you down to where your primary thought on every shot is, "please don't lose this disc." When that happens you're not really playing disc golf anymore. I lost 4 discs. Two stars because the signage and scenery are actually quite good.

Coming off an injury and not playing for 3 months I picked the wrong course. Most holes are tight with thick brush on each side. On the left side of a few holes is a decent slope into water. Could just be me, but lost about 5 discs

If you can hit your lines and land on the fairway this is a fun course. If you are off a few feet there is a good chance that you loose a disc. The pars are pretty forgiving and allow for safe shots while still giving birdie looks. The course is well maintained and tee pads are serviceable. This course does not deserve all the hate.

Course was not good. Saya for all skill level I call BS on that. The fairways are super narrow and if you get off it your disc is probably lost. Plus the holes are super long and I don't think there was an ace able hole on the course. They could have made more holes if it was shortened to an all ages course. I will never be back

If you're going to attempt it, wear long sleeves and long pants no matter how hot it is, because otherwise you'll be cut yourself to ribbons hunting for your discs in the palmettos. I love that sideways tee pad, on a hill. I suppose the only good thing about this place is that it'll never be crowded.

It's new. It's not going to be perfect. Give it time to get beat in befire leaving bad reviews.. The baskets are in dire need of numbering. And a local who cares needs to take the time to do a Udisc map. That alone will go a long way to making this a great place to play and help people navigate. I'm far from being a local and legitimately stumbled on this course. 5-7 are tough. No two ways around that. But good shot variety. Just needs to beat in.

Unfortunately, this is a missed opportunity for the city of Northport to provide a decent disc golf course for its disc golf community. I have played this course twice and lost a total of five discs. On hole five there is a swamp on the left side meaning that you can't get your disks back if you misfire. After playing twice and only making it to hole five both times, I quit because I did not feel like donating more discs.

Brand New Course! Will take some time to get it 100% Best thing we can all do is as you are playing, pick up sticks and move them out of the fairways.

Decent beginner/ practice course. Super boring. Multiple throws for a less powerful players.

I personally loved the tee pads and the first two holes but after that it’s hard to navigate, very thick rough, measurements on signs are way off, and the course varies between difficult to poorly designed and unplayable. Only come here if you’re ok with losing a disc or two and if you want to play the same holes over and over. Not worth playing past hole 2. Holes 8 and 9 are ok tho.

lost 3 brand new discs to this terrible course. wouldn't have been bad if there was a better hole layout. Hope it gets better, I know it's a new course, but wouldn't recommend unless you've got discs to spare.

Probably the worst course that I’ve played in the area. Tee pads are lumpy, baskets and chains are cheap, no benches, only one trash can for the whole course, the footage distance seems wrong and inconsistent, confusing layout and not enough signs to show you where to go, the rough is way too thick, very hard to traverse through. If you’re thinking of trying this course, be prepared to lose a couple discs. All in all, not a fun course.

The course is mostly made up of straight and narrow throws across the fairway. Mostly good for just long bombs down the middle due to the course being heavily wooded in many spots which limits the type of discs to use and type of throws to do (I lost 2 discs while playing). Hole 1 and Hole 4 were my personal favorite. Hole 1 basket and Hole 2 tee have a great view of the Myakkahatchee Creek on the left. Hole 3 has a sideways tee pad which makes it hard to run up to take the shot especially since the tee is up on a small hill. Hole 5 and Hole 6 are really close together and almost intersect at one point which can cause interference between players. Signs are not as clear and I went to the wrong holes a couple times on my first play through. The course will need some work to increase the rating and I hope the city of North Port keeps putting the work to make the course better and hopefully add some new courses in the future.

I knew what to expect based on it being new and I read some comments before coming. The rough is rough, but with some TLC this place will be great. A few fairways intersect and the signage to the middle par 5s was weird, as well as a few fairways intersect. But the views are sweet and with a few work days to shape the rough up so disc can be located, this place will boom. I’ll be back in the fall w/ loppers and hopefully as more people play this place starts to blossom. Personally I loved it, but def needed my buddy so we didn’t lose any. Any skip off the fairway would have you worried lol

A new course, still breaking in. Tight throws, fairways run into each other and some baskets end close to tee pads (tee pad 3 rotates 90 degrees out). Not sure initial planning was very good. The course has potential, tee pads are nice, signage okay. A slightly better version of the Englewood Devers course. I’m sure changes will come as more players provide feedback.

It was challenge to say the least. Nice straight fairways but the palmettos are thick!! Make sure you have a spotter for your throws or you’ll be looking for a while. Good course needs work
