There is not a lot to love about the current layout at the nordic course. It’s mostly just blind throws down a rutted gravel road with no shade and uneven tee pads. Somehow, they’ve even managed to avoid incorporating mountain views within the design. Hoping this is just temporary because they have some epic opportunities to make it a premier destination course.

New course design - now you start at the Nordic center and throw away from the mountain. Udisc map not updated and tee sign distances were comically wrong (probably taken from the old course), but navigating was really easy, didn’t get lost once. Bring bug-spray!

Great course, tough hike, keep it low, watch your disc, snacks for energy, have fun. I'll be back.

BRING BACK THE ALPINE COURSE!!! Very disappointed with the new nordic course layout. Not only did Mt. Bachelor take away the alpine course with epic disc golf and even batter views, but somehow managed to avoid an entire old growth fir forest and instead designed the new course through tight lodgepole fairways with almost no views of the nearby mountains. That would be fine if the holes were well designed. However, baskets seem to have been placed at random with minimal thought and effort as most are blind, long and tight 400 foot plus holes where any shot 5 feet off the fairway is in jail. I am not sure why they didn’t use the battle at bachelor layout from years past which was a fun, challenging and scenic layout. Mt. Bachelor, please fix this!!

This course was unlike anything else is ever played! Yes there are volcanic rocks, and yes you may lose a disc or two, but getting to bomb off ledges like this and work your way down a mountain is a one of a kind experience. If you aren’t a sure footed hiker...skip this one. But if you love the mountains and disc golf...this my friends is paradise.

Hard Lava Rock Terrain, baskets are so far apart over ravines that you spend all day going up and down hills. Baskets have no marking so impossible to see from 450+ feet away. NOT worth the $26 lift ticket fee. Stay away. Even with hiking boots loose footing everything. Can’t say anything good.

Great fun to throw discs down a mountain less fun to go and find them if it goes wrong. It took 15 mins to walk to the disc down one hole due to the steepness and lava rock that gives way. A fun experience but not something I’d necessarily do more than once or twice.

Bring your least favorite discs. Tee boxes aren’t the greatest. Baskets are low quality. All in all, it’s a one time must. It’s a brutal hike down #footwear. Bring extra water, food, and beer. Overall it’s super fun.

Big mountainside rocky drops & gusty mountain winds make this the toughest but most beautiful course. We couldn’t find #11 & 12 tees.

Beautiful location causes distraction on the tee pads. That’s good. Really hard to get safe footing on lava rock. Small rubber tee pads don’t allow a save run up. Stationary shots while on fairway do to poor footing. Hard to locate the baskets at times. Take a spotter. Just the facts. Great experience but it’s a one and done for me.

Course does not come down the mountain anymore. New course is fun, designed along cross country trails well. However it is not in UDisc yet and signage is from old course

Long holes over deep ravines and terrible tee pads. I lost 3 discs in the baby trees and sliced my hand open on volcanic rock. Will not play again.

Bring back the OG Alpine course. Nothing redeeming about the new course.

Rocky at first, no pun intended. Great views.

The course itself is very tough. Beautiful scenery, however, the tee boxes are very uneven making it difficult for a good run up.

Views are unbeatable, but descent is steep with lots of loose lava rock. Surprisingly dangerous actually! Trails from all baskets to tees and cutting down “fairways” would be helpful, and some tees are extremely hard to find!
