Big course with a tough layout. Baskets are in their longest positions. Lots of hills. Signage needs updated but otherwise it’s a great course. Beautiful park.

Very spread out course with some good shot variety using the hilly landscape and big trees throughout the park. Mix of open and easy holes and some long and challenging ones. Only critique was I wish the signs by the tees were updated and it was easier to find some of the tee boxes. Otherwise it was an excellent and fun course to play

Well kept course with a variety of fun holes. Some very problematic layout issues though. Hole 10s ideal line for RHBH players plays directly at hole 18s tee pad, it's not safe to tee if there are people teeing on 18. Right after this you cross 17s fairway with no warning signs and, later, have to cross 11s fairway again with no warning signs. The tee signs that are photos are also very unhelpful since the pictures were taken at very different angles from what you see off the tee. Could be a good course with some tweaking to address these issues.

Great city park course. No tall grass. Use of terrain and trees are good. Glad I had the App for the next tee a couple times.

Very nice park style course with some softer and challenging holes. Recommend a trip or two here during the summer if your from Des Moines or the surrounding area.

Wow. So much to like. Great course and great memories of this park while in junior high and high school. 😏 We played frisbee golf here to the same trees as we now hit on our drives. Love Maytag DGC. I would give this 11 stars, if possible! New baskets are great and the brush clean out this spring was very helpful. Great group of players that help the city care for this course.
