Fun short course with some unsafe design. Holes 3 and 7 throw directly at a blind curve on a popular walking path. The designers worked fairly well with what they had but those two holes are especially dangerous and irresponsible. Nice little native meadow on 5 and 6, but that means those holes are (rightly) unmowed at least part of the spring and summer. Good teepads, good signs, map updated on UDisc. Plenty to like about the course. Until someone gets hit in the head and sues the parks department.
@loudnproud
There are thick brush areas they push back but never cut down. A real disc taker
@dannymitchell
Great course with a variety of shot shapes at different times. Great to play in the summer before it gets too hot.
@seymoregulls
From whole six to hole seven there is a bridge across the pond keep following the trail. Whole finding was a little tricky at the end but the course is good. Stay on the fairway though cuz there's brambles when it's not open field.
@druidplow
You will lose discs. Brambles and thorns everywhere. Some open shots and basic technical layouts but there are at least 3 holes that if you don’t throw perfectly, the disc is gone.
@neonknight07
Fun beginner course. Play as a warmup before blodgett woods.
@jesserc
Could maybe use a way point sign between 6 and 7, otherwise a great 9 hole course.
@tvshkatk
I love this course. It is a hidden gym.
@bmcfadden
Good 9 hole with a mix of short and longer shots. Only bummer was all the dog poop throughout the course.
@jjfuentes
Better signage to next teepad but it isn't hard to navigate through the Udisc app.
@huckwafina
A few beautiful spots but kinda tough in that most of it plays over walking paths, a couple times even encouraging you to blindly throw around path corners. Also, was half underwater and I imagine that’s true most of the wet season. I’d still play it all the time if I lived here though!
@Josiahprojoe
Good turn shots good for beginners
@jcurriedg
Concrete tee pads were a huge improvement
@seansullivan
Great little 9 hole with an optional par 4! Lots of wide open shots with some forearm yeets. Be sure to wear pants if you're the type of guy to yank drive though, as there are lotsa blackberries on the side of some of the holes
@lunichols
New concrete teepads. 2 new hole layouts! A soft par 4! It’s an even better course now!
@orthke
Great open course with some long holes. Teepads newly redone and tee signs installed. New par 4 basket!
@kajcorn
A little wet on 4-6 but playing like the great little course it is.
@alexmpeters
Great beginner course, fun little public 9 hole. A few peeps local to the Philomath area have really taken ownership of the course, and they have done a lot to improve it over the last year or two (including installing concrete tee pads and signage!)
@josho13
Holes are laid out pretty well, overall a fun short 9-hole course. Great for getting my shoulder back into shape
