Beautiful course, layout is super confusing however and holes overlap. Not a big deal when busy though

Best course I've ever played hands down.

Just more established Ted Pads is the only recommendation. Good variety!

Worth the stop! Desert golf for sure, and weeds are a problem on a couple holes (but that’s Tucson disc golf for ya!). Tons of ace runs, and an eagle opportunity. Bring plenty of water and sunscreen, watch out for snakes! Also, whole course plays in a wash, definitely unplayable during monsoon season, I can tell they’ve had flooding issues in the past. Biggest issue is the baskets, some are worse for wear and expect spit outs/chain throughs.

Half built course mostly old baskets barely hanging together. Kind of a skeleton of what used to be there long ago. Worth playing as there’s no other courses in the area, but it’s almost always windy there, so be ready for that.

Arrived yesterday to play a round and found that course is permanently closed. Baskets and tee pads were apparently removed in the last week. This is very disappointing. Marana was one of my favorite courses in the area. I’ve read that there are plans to build a new course but am unable to find any meaningful information or possible time frame. Why not leave the existing course playable until construction begins on a new course? The nearest course is now Rillito, which is 11 miles away. I want to thank everyone who has worked on this course over the years to make it playable, especially after it was flooded. RIP Marana Rock DGC. To the Town of Marana: please post some information publicly about your plans and timeframe for a new course. If it’s about needing money that isn’t budgeted, then make that known too. The disc golf community is very creative at finding ways to help get courses built and maintained.

Played the 21 hole red tees layout: Better than I was led to believe! Awful baskets, but hey, you work with what you’ve got. Bad baskets are better than zero baskets. The layout is okay to good. There’s some pin placements and teepads that are a little too close to the path for comfort, which, seeing the space they have to work with, seems unnecesarry. I’m not a fan of using single pin placements for multiple holes. Pare this down to an 18 hole course and it could be one of the better courses in town, but for now, I’d say play it if you’re close, but I’m not sure it’s worth a special trip.

I appreciate whoever put this course together. It is on the low budget side, but it was a nice afternoon, with solid shots.

Challenging technical holes with a few distance drives needed. No map onsite and donate for next hole not entirely clear, UDisc app definitely helped. Otherwise typical desert terrain, maintained well enough to pull my bag cart through. More than half the pads are dirt and rather uneven, which can make for placement and stability a challenge. Overall a great change of pace in Tucson compared to Rillito and Santa Cruz.

Pretty good for a desert course. Props to the designers to use what they had in way of elevation. Pretty easy to navigate even on the first time playing. Other than tee 8 which is down the hill. Very fun! Edit: when it’s busy, stay home. Holes use some same baskets which causes a traffic jams.

Has great potential to be an amazing course.

Some holes do not have a sign. Some baskets are not visible. I aimed at the wrong baskets few times. Need to add a pole to the baskets we cannot see.

Good layout but udisc is definitely needed first time around to navigate. Overall, a fun little course. EDIT 22AUG 23: thanks T.B. For adding the 3 Narnia holes onto Udisc.

There are two new layouts with all new signs. Black hole layout -B red pads is similar to the original black hole layout. Black hole layout-A yellow pads is a shorter version of the course. For both layouts the main change is hole 6 and 7. Hole 6 is island hole with a drop zone at the A-pad. Hole 7 is a short hole that goes back to the basket on the side of the hill.

Glad to see the improvements being made and the new layout. Hoping the next adjustments will be to widen basket 8’s fairway and add wood chips to the area around basket 6 (like the chips around basket 8/9/12). Please keep up the great work!

The basket for hole 4/16 of the Black Hole Layout was stolen earlier today. As the one who personally purchased, designed, and placed these baskets/holes on the course for public use, please help keep an eye out for any future larceny of baskets so we can all still enjoy this course
