Definitely need a spotter on the tees. We looked for discs longer than we actually played (I get it's a provincial park and only so much can be done in terms of maintenance/clearing). Signage could use improvement. Quite a confusing layout for someone who has never been. Cannot usually see the tonals/basket off the tee (have to hike and find it first). Bring brightly coloured discs or ones you don't care to lose as the scrub/blackberries/bush is knee to waist high in most places. We wouldn't make the trip again. Might be more fun once you know the layout and have spotters for every shot.
@bobert14
Fun, lots of up and down, but lots of bushes to lose discs in. There is a bee hive in the blue tonal
@wildisc
Good boots, good shots, good attitude and this is a great course. Awesome views - most tonal courses are deep in second growth, arbutus Garry oak ecosystem disc golf is so beautiful. interesting shots although Hole 4 is aggressively difficult - overall it was positive. Keep it together - no beginners. With invasive species removal work parties this course would be tops in the region.
@diskychick
Met Steve the guy who made course. he showed us the layout it was bushy and a lot of long grass and very easy to lose discs but beautiful terrain and views and a pretty good layout. Hope he finds my white #1Hyzer on lower part of course 😢 I got muddy. 😝
@jackfrisbee
Course has good potential but it seems like it's in its early days. Sweet views
@stewart1982
Very fun up and down course. Definitely need to be able to control your shots. Not for beginners. Beautiful location and views!
@austyman
Played 9 as it took longer than I expected.. I would never bring beginners here. Tough to find the tee pads so I made my own at times. Lot of potential and the view is stunning
@looseyc
Lots of very cool shots. The tones are awesome and ring out. The ocean and Salt Spring Island are in plain site. Full of Gary Oaks and arbutus. Definitely not for beginners. Lots of shots that could lose a disc if you don't know how to control your arm.
@trobinsonoro
This is not a beginner course. The views are amazing and the holes are well designed, but the course punishes errant throws harshly. We spent a lot of time looking for discs, and the beginners I was with each lost one. After hiking down and up the hillside a few times we quit after number nine.
@ethantricks
No baskets. Couldn’t tell where to throw from. Tall grass might lose a disc
@pastamasta
Fun course, you will lose disc.
@fritzb96
Really tall grass right now. Don’t throw hole 6… took me 80minutes to find my destroyer. The wind took it and I thought it was going to hit the water. Found it 600feet from the tee box
@outofstep
Don’t like to give a bad review but this just seems like a bad idea for a course location. Way too much brush and cliffs. Buddy lost two discs and practically had to scramble down a cliff to find them (he didn’t) Also got stung like 5 times by wasps. Beware unless you know exactly where you can park a disc!
@marcelraymond
Don’t drop the ball
@mcnv327
Come prepared with good hiking footwear and lots of water. Creative use of space by reusing tee pads and tonals, although it’s a bit tough to follow the layout on the app. Overall a fun little course!
@gunnermarquis
Great course! Just wear gaiters and don’t bring your dog unless you want your socks and dog covered in little burrs
@heycolby
I really liked it! Some clearer tee-pads and maybe a few more tonals and this could be a really great little course.
@emmetb
For how small it is, it’s super well laid out using the same tonals for different holes. Making short holes big bombs up hills you will want some drivers in your bag. The tee pads can be tricky to find, but they are usually right by the tonal you just hit. It seemed like some tee pads were marked with the colour of the tonal, which were all different.
@jaysnow
I honestly think this is the start of a nice little course. I like the idea of different coloured toners, could add painted rocks to tee box. I don't live in the area, or else I would help with that.
