About the course

mostly open and one of the most played courses in Bowling Green area.

History

1997: Course went in with the development of the soccer complex. 9-hole DGA Mach 2 baskets with 2-tees on each hole. HB bought the baskets from Darrell Lynn PDGA #784 in Memphis. New, but his health keeps him from putting a course on his personal land. Designed by HB Clark PDGA #553, who also did a lot of the clearing and installation. 2001: When the park did not install tennis, volleyball and picknick areas, the course was expanded to 18 holes. Innova Pro targets were installed. Design headed by HB Clark, with much help from Larry Bledsole PDGA #12201 and a few club members.

A lot of fairly open par three 320 to 420 holes that are a little difficult to birdie or bogey. You can play pretty good golf or pretty bad golf and get the same score.

Fun, fairly open course. Nice mature trees. Mowed and very well kept, no garbage. Basic signage, no benches, good condition Prodigy baskets. Easy to navigate.
