About the course

A well designed parkland course by Manchester Disc Golf that is the most played course in the country. By making excellent use of the available space it challenges first time families all the way to advanced competitors. The local volunteers have planted ~2500 native trees and added large sculpted features to add beauty and difficulty. Restrooms and drinking water can be found at the nearby Longford Cafe within the park. Disc rental is also available from the café: £1 + £5 returnable deposit per disc. The course is generally cart friendly as it is a flat course with mown grass fairways, but the ground can get soft and waterlogged throughout the winter. The white fences and course perimeter mark the out-of-bounds areas for scoring purposes. Please respect the other park users and local residents. We recommend using the main car park off Ryebank Road next to the athletics track as it is larger and safer to access. The main car park is free to use. Local events, leagues, weeklies, bag-tags, open days, clinics, maintenance days, tree planting, and community engagement organised by Manchester Disc Golf. A small range of beginner discs are available from Manchester Disc Golf. Purchases support course maintenance and development. Our second course is available now within the mature woodland of Lilford Park, Leigh. Instagram: @mcrdiscgolf What3words: wicked.rainy.camera Par on Blues ~900 rated. Par on Reds ~800 rated. The family friendly layout is marked by green tee posts that play to the regular baskets. They are labelled alphabetically, A-I, and start with basket #10.

Limited mobility/cane accessible

The course is generally very flat, but a couple of baskets on mounds reduces accessibility on the Red and Blue layouts. Take note that the ground is usually very soft during winter and early spring. The Green Layout is short and uses no mounds. Therefore that is the most accessible layout.
