About the course

9 Hole beginner course with minimal obstacles. Includes a practice basket. All holes 160--270 feet long. Directional signs and tee signs up as of 10/9/25. Main sign still to be placed. Estimated completion before the end of October 2025, still being worked on.

History

Work on the planning of the course started at the beginning of the summer 2024. A proposal for the course was made by local residents Devin Grahek and Heidi Errickson-Grahek (Chair of the Centerville Parks & Recreation Committee) in November of 2024. The Centerville Parks & Recreation Committee subsequently voted to recommend this proposal to the Centerville City Council. This proposal was taken to the Centerville City Council and approved in the Spring/Summer of 2025. The installation of the course was done by Centerville Public Works in the Summer/Fall of 2025. The course is due to be officially completed by the end of October 2025. Special Thanks to Centerville resident, Shaun Conley for his input on the course design.

Please move the sign posts at least a meter behind the tees before you put up signs. They are in a hazardous spot right now and impede play. Consider moving 2's basket. There's a safety issue with the walking path behind that basket. Otherwise, great beginner course!

This very approachable course features short but grippy tee pads and brand new DGA Mach 5 baskets. Most shots are straight forward flat direct throws that are perfect for new players who are just learning the game. The tees on holes five and seven might be difficult to find without Udisc. Conflict with other park users should be minimal and the park has excellent amenities (water fountain/bottle filler, portable restroom, picnic shelter and tables and playground. Posts for signs were installed at the time of review but signs were not yet present. Loss of discs highly unlikely. I am thankful that Centerville is making this course available as it will surely help grow the game.
